The “Giving It All We’ve Got” quest was exactly me trying to do just that, attempting to pile-drive myself into every mountain trying to find the entry way to that one waypoint that’s 500 yards inside it.
Or running figure-eights all over solid ground with one that’s 300 yards directly below me only to realize I have to take the big opening that’s not even close to me to find that one pathway in that maze of a ruin you can’t fly in in order to get to it.
I think the best part was watching another player do the same thing I was doing.
I know it’s only been about 10 years, but marking the entrances at least for that quest will save a lot of Lemix players down the road some pain.

Now to balance it out I will give a huge thanks for changing this in recent expansions. Most quests today mark the entrances you need to enter before the objective, and it is very much appreciated.
They use to mark them i’m not sure why they dont anymore this bothered me on a couple quest where entrances are kinda well hidden they used to mark the entrance now it just marks under the main spot
So these problems exist so players like Binnoma feel they have to go around every entrance in-game and find the specific coordinates for each one so they can make a list and post it in the comments section on Wowhead in order to help other players who are dealing with the same problem.
Blizzard marking entrances for quests < “I’m sorry new player but you need to install this addon and then go to this site and then read this comment and then paste each coord as you need them into the chat box to do this quest.”
Just did it yesterday. The amount if times i had to wowhead/youtube quests for suramar vs the other zones is ridiculous.
All 4 lvling zones : twice just cause the quest icon didnt appear on the map.
Suramar: 5 times so far and im still like 70% through it. Its annoying. Its bad game design. And it was called out when i played live. I regret doing it. I hope the 2 extra knowledge points are worth it.
Listen if you want to be spoon fed that’s fine but I personally like things to be a bit difficult then if I need wowhead it is there but if I figure it out on my own it feels that much more satisfying
If the core of RPG gaming is reliving my data entry job by copy-pasting coordinate after coordinate to help with one quest, then I’m in the wrong crowd.
This is what I’m getting at here. There’s nothing wrong with refining something to improve the way it works.
Blizzard has already begun marking entrances for newer quests ever since Dragonflight dropped, so anyone who is opposed to the idea here looks mighty out of place.
Where did I say that wasn’t the case? I’m talking about in game design broski.
Blizz tries to maintain at least a minimal RPG feeling in their world. If someone chooses to use an addon or a website to avoid that design then more power to them.
