This is 2024 almost 2025. Why do our rogue still have to struggle with energy build while all class can spam button. If you choose the Echoing Reprimand damage build then you cant have thistle tea which is fine but let us have vigor talent in mid tree. Backstab cost 45 energy and hit like a wet noodle. Blizzard make us to choose between Damage build or tea build when all class are so tanky atm with hero talent. Not to mention they nerf our survive ability and CC to the ground this expansion.
Another thread complaining about class tree talent issues directly stemming from the fact that Tea is dog.
Once again, the solution is to replace Tea. Nothing else really needs to be done regarding that side
Frankly, there are too many throughput talents in the class tree and too many utility talents in the spec trees. All of the other major revamps to other classes have loaded the class tree with utility and all the “fun” throughput talents on the spec trees.
This is the way.
Straight up false. Rogue is already notorious for having so much utility and defensive abilities unlike the other all dps classes. It doesnt need additional utility/defensive options towards the bottom of the tree and honestly its better off having the damage options. They let you take certain elements from other specs to implement hybrid playstyles (even tho a significant portion of the rogue playerbase is mentally deficient and hates having the ability to do that). If it did move the utility from the spec to the class trees all the specs would be feeling a lot more similar. Its a net loss.
The only fun throughput talent rogue has in the class tree are Vigor, Deeper Strat, and Subterfuge. The rest are entirely passive. That is the problem with the class tree and the biggest offender once again is Thistle Tea.
I can’t play sin or KiR outlaw even with 20% haste because I’m constantly energy starved and have to sit there and watch my toon auto attack. I agree, this isn’t 2004 anymore. No one wants to sit there and watch their toon auto attack and pool energy before hitting buttons again. We play melee (rogue) so we can be engaged.
Pooling energy as Outlaw Rogue goes against the design of the spec due to CDR and using nearly every global for a combo point generator or finisher.
For PVP reasons that utility stays spec specific but having Garrote silence back for Sub and Outlaw would be nice. Having access to Sting like a Bee for all three specs again would be nice (formally known as Prey on the Weak).
When you have no energy to use anymore and you wait for regen. It’s pooling for me.
Our rogue shouldn’t struggle with energy starving. I am talking about long fight in BG.
If you are talking about sub yes that is a problem but BlizZard took away Hemo.
It a little different, that’s downtime, not pooling, pooling refers to you specifically holding back some resources for a bigger payoff later.
I don’t like either, I can tolerate pooling, but downtime is bad
The problem is pooling and downtime usually go hand in hand because if you have an abundance of resources why would you want to pool them and potentially waste them?
Pooling energy to use at the right time matters more so which is why specs like Assassination and Sub do it all the time.
Using energy all the time to generate CP and use them to reduce cool downs is what Outlaw does.
Downtime for Sub/Assassination isn’t bad if that energy is used properly due to pooling energy.
Pooling energy for Outlaw doesn’t benefit the spec that much as CDR is more important.
