that’s why you misquoted, I told you it would be 3 specs or 4 specs like the druid.
such a case would be 2 spec dps in which it differs between the classic Range hunter, and the other a caster that uses mana or intellect.
That depends on how Blizzard would see if it did not give us a disappointment or an abomination of a class that did not deserve to be seen that way.
And I did not use Warcraft 3 much, knowing that the knowledge of the races of Azeroth in each faction advanced a lot after the third war between the knowledge of other races not included in the RTS as well as some knowledge far from Azeroth, or something new that present us in future expansions.
thats why Im not in support in tinker just yet. I do think it should be added at some point but I also think it should be more race exclusive and wow does not need a racially exclusive class right now it needs something bigger that will hit the most amount of players.
Taking a long awaited goblin and gnome trope and making it into some titan magic hero class is honestly just a spit in the face to people that have wanted the Tinker class
look, if you want tinkers, fine. but these threads are obnoxious, and doubly so when they’re presented as “tinkers are being added! here’s what needs to happen with them!”
What’s the purpose of class or racial distinction if the story always takes it away? The dwarves of Ironforge going to Pandaria instead of finding a way to restore their king? Horde druids being forced to follow Sylvanas after she tried to kill the leader of the Cenarion Circle and burned down a world tree. To me Legion did a good job with class distinction. I enjoyed the stories and various NPCs we encountered. I’d love to see a return to that.
When they don’t take into account that a particular class would probably pick their class values over that of their faction, that makes the class feel unimportant and a simple mechanic.
I appreciate this question. I see a good number of my characters as heroes who are able to overcome any and all odds. While I certainly do enjoy using a races culture for my characters it’s nice when it doesn’t dictate who and what the character can be. I’ve done that quite a few times while playing D&D over the years. Whether it was a dwarf being a wizard, back when they couldn’t, or a dwarf raised by a halfling in a remote monastery. We swapped the trained racials (+ hit/dmg to orcs and goblinoids and +4 dodge to giants) to those of a halfling.
Yes, I have found more than one story conflict that make me cringe, not just with class but also with race.
I want to say lazy choices on Blizzard’s part but I understand with this being a multiplayer game, there are going to be limitations when it comes to independence of story.
Hopefully when I get past hating Legion, I will get to that point too .
I don’t know about that. Nationalism is real (and often irrational).
Ahhh… so it the limitation of character choice that bothers you.
I have those moments too, especially when story forces my character to do things she would not, like my draenei paladin assisting blood elves.
That was nice of your Game Master. I used to play Palladium back in the day and I doubt mine would have been so accommodating and creative.
I like wordy when it is thoughtful and comprehensible and your answer certainly was.
