Give me all your brash you want… but a bug ridden game isn’t a good one.
And there are TONS of bugs right now.

nah make it 16 hours.
Why stop there?
24 hours.
Everybody is grounded from WoW for an entire day.
No excuses.
What difference will a scheduled 8 hour maintenance make vs the usual delayed 8 hour maintenances that ship with bugs anyway?
…As if there haven’t been a ton of bugs before, even with multiple 8+ hour maintenances? Some of which STILL haven’t been fixed?
The issue isn’t the time it takes. It’s the effort made during the time they are given, and from what I’ve seen, very little effort has been made to fix much of anything.
Can’t wait to see the addicts flock to the forums and get silence vacations.
i like the cut of your jib.
At this point they could make it 24 hrs and still wouldn’t fix a single thing , in fact they would likely break even more things in the process.
Please make next week’s maintenance eight hours
Fixing bugs is not like carrying bricks from one side of a building to the other. You can’t just assume that a fixed increase in hours worked will result in a given level of progress.
Also fixing bugs in software does not require taking the system down for a length of time. You do that on your test system then rebuild the production system with the bugs fixed.
It seems that taking the system down would have more to do with IT work than development work.
Who knew increasing token count from 3 to 10 would break every portal, teleport spell, and hearth in the game from every zone?
Truth be told with everything going on, I would say 12-16 hours is about accurate.
I’m so glad I read about this ahead of time so I was able to hearth quickly when the Portal deposited me 3 miles off the Southeastern coast of the Badlands.
We should have an eight hour maintenance. And when it’s over Ele is bugged and then we should nerf them twice, revert some of them, but overall leave them in a much worse spot then they were before the re-work that. On top of that, let’s go ahead and drop the mount we swore would never be back in the game and if enough people buy it let’s go ahead and start locking more QoL improvements behind paywalls going forward because they’ll buy it no matter what so who cares. Let’s go ahead and make sure rogue is completely broken too so all the M+ records get smashed while we’re at it
Computer says no.
I played all day as smooth as butter
Eight hours? They need to take the servers offline for a week to sort this epic cluster frack out.
20 year old spaghetti code
happi 20 year anniversary!
Fix some bugs, create new ones, rinse repeat.
You’re thinking all wrong. Make it fun. Deathroll the maintenance duration 1-100hrs.
It doesn’t seem any amount of hours is effective at fixing this mess of a game.
