Please make Mythic + for regular gamers and not elites

I think many of us would like to see mythic + return as an option for challenging fun for all instead of elite fanbois.

Delves already bring the elitists to tears. I’d love to see M+ be nerfed so more tears can fall.

You don’t speak for me.

And I’m perfectly fine in the end game pillar they just gave me. Much more enjoyable without timers and pugs.

Thus, the phrase ā€œI think many of usā€ instead of all of us. I’m glad you enjoy them. Many do not.

Imho they should undo the squish
There was nothing wrong with +2s-11s for learning
+12s-19s for honing
and +20s and above for title pushing

We have no basis for ā€œmanyā€ or ā€œfew.ā€

Let’s not make up numbers to further a narrative. You’re perfectly capable of standing behind your opinions without trying to use others to prop it up.

Your opinion is valid on its own just for you.

IF theres anything that should happen it’s to have a better intermediary step leading to M+; like most people aren’t bothering with Zeroes and heroics don’t do nearly enough to prep players for Mythic.

No one said it was supposed to be easy. Where did I say those words?

Yep the curve is too steep. It makes things too discouraging and frustrating.

Thank you so much for explaining that logic to me. It is very helpful.

The title of your thread

That is your interpretation of what I said. Your interpretation is your stuff, not mine.

Isn’t it already for both?

ā€œregularā€ players will get where they can and hit a skill wall. Elites will go further than ā€œregularsā€ - no? aren’t both groups covered?

Low keys used to be mythic+ for regular gamers before they removed those difficulties.

The very concept of M+ is for Hypercompetitive sweat lords…I’m fine with leaving it that way to give them something to do…but I would like to see more Follower Dungeons and more Delves, if Blizzard does that the Try Hards can have M+…I mean who cares?

The problem seems to be that the M+ runners are not evenly spread. Hardly anyone wants to run M0 after they can run M2+ since M0 gear is not great. Also the costs in repair bills makes it unrewarding to run any M+ levels below your current max since you just burn up money on repairs and potions with no chance of reward. If the gold awarded at the end of a successful run would at least pay for the repairs that would be a start. If it were at least break even I would not mind helping people run lower keys on occasion.

this ^^^^ a million times. I preferred having a smoother difficulty curve.

If you need a smoother difficulty curve than a very basic current 1-2 (Previous 10-12), that already should tell you what content is tailored to you as is. And its likely not M+, which is why we now have delves. By all means dip your toes into the pool but really lets not pretend like this is a system issue and not a skill issue.

Are you just coming here to start an argument for the sake of starting an argument? We get you don’t like M+; you’re rather vocal about it. No one cares. OP didn’t even once mention delves, so I don’t know why you’re bringing them up as though this is an attack on their existence.

It’s like OP said ā€œThat car is green!ā€ And you popping in ā€œThat motorcycle is not blue!ā€ He didn’t claim to speak for everyone—he said ā€˜many,’ which just means a significant number of people. If you don’t agree or feel included, that’s totally fine, but there’s no need to turn this into a disagreement where none exists.

ā€˜Many’ is a relative term, not a hard statistic. It’s commonly used in conversation to express that more than a few people share a sentiment. The OP didn’t claim a specific number or try to prop up a ā€˜narrative’; they simply used everyday language to share their opinion. Let’s not overcomplicate this or derail the discussion with unnecessary nitpicking.

My friends and I were talking last night and we agree; this season of M+ has just not been fun. I basically quit playing last week and just played other classes because I was getting so fed up with people in keys. Across my different toons last week I managed to not complete 6 different keys. That’s MORE keys in one week than I didn’t complete all of dragonflight. Now, maybe that’s on me for not healing those 6 keys (every key I healed last week I completed and timed lol) and watching some of these healers struggle bus. But lord have mercy, coming from DF where I did several thousand keys (because I was having a fun time running them) to this season has just been severely off-putting. Honestly, I think a large portion of it is their stupid change to stops interrupting casting. This whole immediately re-casting thing is just absolutely annoying, and apparently once you branch into the 8+ territory if you aren’t decent at healing then it’s gonna be a struggle bus run… cause I’ve seen healers who were as geared as me that couldn’t manage to heal Coagulation boss in COT on 6-9 keys when I’ve healed it on 9-10.

I think part of that is people rolling healers cause they can get the faster ā€œQā€ times into groups… But booooy is that painful. I also learned to inspect groups I join and be ā€œthat guyā€ now that leaves when there’s severely undergeared players… cause I didn’t do that yesterday and we were in a 6 with a 579 MW monk… who couldn’t stay alive (literally died every single boss fight, and I had to finish out the last 15% with 1-2 DPS, if they could keep themselves up, as my BDK). We got to last boss, depleted the 6 and wiped 6 times before I left (cause I was out of time and had to get my kids). It was a huge waste of time…
