Every other pet or mount rare in Uldum/Vale was edited to have a shorter respawn time except these two.
Meanwhile, I camped the forgotten for an hour, only to be sharded by the server into a shard where his corpse appeared. I’ve had it happen with Will before too.
Long respawn times are not okay as long as the game can shard you at any minute. It means you could camp it literally all day and never find it. Meanwhile, barely anyone posts these two in LFG, so you can’t just hunt that way.

Corpse Eater
Armored Vaultbot
Rustfeather
Arachnoid Harvester
And probably more. Spending all day camping these guys is not healthy gameplay. Thanks.

Corpse Eater already has a 10-15 minute spawn timer, it got lowered partway through the last assault it was up.
Rustfeather has a 20-30 minute one, same with Harvester.
Not sure about Vaultbot, but you don’t need a shortening on him. Just go into the future with a Vaultbot Key and you can loot it every day very easy.
Whereas The Forgotten and Will of N’zoth have what seems to be a 2-3 hour respawn.

In between all the achieves, spare parts for me are at a premium and the vaultbot key is expensive as hell, so not always an option.
There’s always spare part farming groups. You’ll get 10+ SPARE crates in less than 30 minutes.
Aye I’m familiar but those aren’t always an option either. There’s usually only a couple up doing the 2x4 thing and they’re always full. I also have to be lucky in that I’m on their specific warmode option.
I’ve just been camping it on the present time and just spending that 2 hours watching youtube videos or something every day.
To be fair though I was mostly kidding with that request. I used to play EverQuest and was forged in the crucible of mindless eternal mob camping.
There are definitely times though when I’m sitting down at a specific mob spawn point, sometimes hours on end, that I wonder what I’m doing with my life. xD
Oh, I didn’t mind longer respawn time ones, as annoying as they were.
But Sharding COMPLETELY ruins it. I lost an hour of camping because the game decided to shard me. I only knew because Forgotten’s corpse appeared. Otherwise, I’d have zero idea I sharded.
After 3 hours, I opted to leave and skip him for the day. I assumed I got sharded again or he hit the long point on his respawn.
How dare Blizzard make some mounts and pets rarer! They should make the rares be always spawned and have 100% drop rate.
Eh I think it wouldn’t be a bad thing if there was some bad luck protection to some extent.
If someone’s killing Rustfeather every day for a couple years, wouldn’t that prove their dedication enough that they deserve the damn mount?

I know, those aren’t particularly bad. My request was mostly a joke as I mentioned later in the thread.
All these things to camp do add up though, and it makes me wonder at times.

It’s almost like I explicitly explain that sharding makes it a problem.
Rustfeather/Harvestor take 30 minutes or less most times. I use to kill those daily on multiple characters. There is no camping all day on those two.
Vaultbot often is up in the other place and idk what the spawn rate of corpse eater because I got the mount first kill.
How does a long spawn time on a rare mob you can only kill once a day per character make it any rarer?
I agree 100%. No repair timer should be over 20 minutes for rates like these.
