Please link your AOTC for invite

really grinds my gears when im 9/10H xp mostly pugging and the RL will not invite me for the final boss because i dont have AOTC. this results in having a really awkward and demeaning conversation with said RL that goes something like.

i dont have aotc because no group will invite me to get aotc. i know the fight in and out. ive watched fatboss tv guide and i know the fight. let me prove it to you. give me one pull. of course im told to once again link aotc or do not apply and also not to whisper RL because he will ignore me. like anyone else? do i just purchase a carry?

Groups like that just want an clean quick kill. If you really want AotC, you’re going to have to find a progression group, otherwise just keep trying your luck.

<insert sarcastic comment on how Classic and BWL doesn’t have AotC>

All joking aside, if you don’t want to join a guild, find one that you can repeatedly PuG with.

It’s just a case of it being less work to stay ahead of the curve than it is to catch up.

Guilds are the easiest way to spend less time pugging.

majority of those pug leaders are people who don’t even have AotC themselves and expect a carry

What you do in this situation is ask in trade chat for someone to link a completed AOTC achievement. If you want to be less conspicuous just ask…“what’s the achievement called when killing heroic denathrius?” You will get at least one person linking their completed achievement.

Now, you find a group in the group finder and if they ask to link achievement you just link the one you got in trade chat. Now it’s a gamble of course, if the raid leader is being real diligent he/she will see the achievement name not match yours, but most of the time these makeshift groups and raid leaders are kinda clueless and will see a completed achieve and invite. I’ve used this tactic many times in the past and have gotten into groups I needed without much hassle. Who cares, if you are confident in the fight and mechanics do whatever you need to do in order to get what you want/need. Good luck TC!

If you can get into a group that looks competent but is a couple bosses away from Sire, you might be able to stay with them and get a kill. That’s how I got AotC N’Zoth!

If the groups are already on Sire, there are probably tons of experienced players farming the trinket or trying to get parses and they will likely be invited because of their experience. If you can get into a group with maybe 6/10 or 8/10 done already, you might get some chances at Sire!

That’s what I did.

Once I obtain AOTC, Im out, and back to pugging, so I can just do the raid whenever it’s convenient for me.

The consistent complain I believe is because people want to get into the 1shot group and refuse to join prog group then complain why they can’t get in. :man_shrugging:

I like this solution. A lot.

raider IO say Hi btw.

He said they can see if they’re being diligent, but evidently it worked for him. So, raiderIO’s not gonna help them if they’re not even bothering to use it right.

Idk, pugging is the wild wild west honestly. I was in an “AOTC ONLY” group and after 3 wipes on H Sludge I realized 1/2 of the raid was from a guild that was like 5/10 and trying to get carried. Pugging last 3 bosses is not really worth it time wise imo.

Yeah its a get a free invite achieve , In Seige of Ogrimar I upgraded my hunter blue weapon to heroic heirloom gear just with that Aotc

yea if they’re not diligent about it. But I personally love catching these people on my group. Or even the people who bought their aotc.

Hahaha , nope

Here is what my guild mate has been doing every expansion. “LFm X raid need AOTC only” then three hours later he gets AOTC achievement :stuck_out_tongue:

Join a prog group.

H Denathrius is a very demanding fight both mechanically and as a dps check. My guild wiped ~50 times during progression. I’m sorry but there’s no (unpaid) shortcuts, you have to grind this fight like everyone else. If anything it’s easier now because most players are better geared than back then.

Make your own group and lead the raid to victory if you know what you are doing.

I can’t raid with anything less than AOTC nowadays unless it’s with my chill, more casual guild mates. Players just don’t want to learn the mechanics and want to be carried to achievement. I think it’s more rude for players to go into a months-old raid with no inkling how to play their character and waste other people’s time than it is for someone that only wants to raid with AOTC players. (Even a lot of them are potatoes.)
