One thing thats annoying the hell out of me is the fact that i cant remove talents so I can learn them progressively one by one.
Always having to spend every single point is making it too confusing and forces me to create a fresh character to learn and test the talents slowly.
Please, allow us to be able to not spend every available point so its easier to try them out individually and progressively.
Thank you

Huh? Most classes play completely different at max level with all talents vs leveling. Not sure how this would help you.

I have multiple level 60 characters. The game forces me to play them with all talent points spent. I dont have the chance to put them in progressively and check how the talents impact on the gameplay without having to put every single point in. Thats what Im asking for: to remove the âSPEND EVERY POINTâ restriction

What I want is the option to edit the talent tree, not wipe it completely to start over. If I want to move ONE talent point⌠I have to wipe out both trees.

I wonder if Blizzard could make it a toggle on/off. Personally I can see myself forgetting to spend a point so having it would be a help to me. I also can see how wanting to test talents and they clusters can be helpful to others. Have a toggle with the default being on is a nice compromise.
yeah especially if itâs higher up in the dang tree

You can leave abilities off your bar, the problem is the UI deletes your choices below a certain point if you donât keep counting how many youâve invested where. It is pretty easy to come up with an âokayâ build and then look at what did good damage and what did not and shift points around accordingly. What is annoying is when you shift those points and all your work to shift them gets deleted because of one bad move.

You can right click a couple of the bottom points and rearrange things. Thatâs what I do.

After youâve already set those points?
Ya, if I need to move a point at the under 8 mark from left to right, Iâll take the top point off my tree and then move the lower point, take away where I want then put the top point back in.
When youâre doing this, you should notice a blue hue under talents you had taken to give you an idea what you removed.

It would make leveling faster if you could save up your points and use them in some sensible way when you have the time to make decisions. âI really want this one thing but I donât want to stop and figure out how to spend those other points.â
You can do that.
On my little Warlock Iâd get two or three levels out in the field, and only then remember that I hadnât spent points. So Iâve been able to spend points that way.
If youâre following the starter builds however you have to enter the points in the expected manor or it boots you off the starter build.
Did not know this was a thing! Thanks to both of you!

Just donât put the talent on your bar and avoid passives until you figure out what you want. I personally donât want to forget to select talents and end up disadvantaged.
But if you want just one thing but you have 7 points to spend, you canât do it.
Yep you can take points out by right clicking them!

Oh ya, I suppose that is a restriction I hadnât encountered yet as Iâd spend all those points.
I wonder if there is a possibility for an addon to help manage talent point spending.
Specifically Iâd like to have an âautoâ setting for talent points where if Iâve selected a template such as the starter build or one copied from WoWhead it would spend the points automatically as I level.
Thanks!
Oh, and for anyone else who may have done what I did once and accidentally clicked the reset button instead of the save button for talents⌠it is also a redo button to put them all back.

I agree with this message
What if I just want to try out 1 ability? I have to fully spec in order to do that.

Uh ?
Just right click to remove a talent point and move it elsewhere ?
Only annoying part is removing talents under the 20 and 8 lines wipes the rest of the tree if you go under the 20 and 8 treshold, but otherwise, you can freely swap a point or 2 without redoing the whole thing.
