I am? I’m playing TBC right now. I skipped SoM because it was introduced as a seasonal mode that would transition to classic era server. There was zero indication it would ever be able to continue into Wrath.

If we had known that SoM characters weren’t going to be forced onto dead era realms I would have actually played it. I’m not sure what’s confusing about that.

confusing is this: you either:

  1. want to play SOM → go play SOM.
  2. don’t want to play SOM → don’t play SOM.

why is the wolk announcement in any way impacting you playing SOM?

and no, I am not buying that you refused to play SOM due to post-SOM stuff. that makes no sense. At all. You won’t play SOM because once you’re done playing SOM you get deported to Classic? So what - you played SOM like you wanted.

now do you understand what’s confusing about this?

p.s. SOM is still there. Now you know. go play SOM.

I agree that going back on their word is shoddy and battered but who cares if the 18 players left playing som go to wrath. It’s gonna be like 2 scarab lords and like 5 rank14s that didn’t quit after the rank.

This is zero impact

Given the participation of SoM was pretty low from all accounts, i really don’t think were going to see that big of an influx of players like some people think there will be. xD

Why is it unreasonable?
SoM won’t be over until after Wrath (probably, based on timing/length of beta) has released and might coincide with the 90 day window for allowing transfers.

Transfering to a WoTLK server seems fine to me.

However I don’t think transferring them to fresh servers is a good idea. Isn’t the whole point of the servers to roll a brand new character and start all over? :thinking:

Wasn’t SOM supposed to be a temporary thing? No they should not be able to transfer… you made the decision, now stick with it.
