I mean you could ask that question of any ranged magic class
Because they do? And have since the introduction to the class. And some people like that

There is not 1 Staff casting animation in this game as far as im aware. They are glorified props nearly identical to Monk weapons.
ok⦠but hear me outā¦
multilpe stab wounds.
lol.
The purpose of a monk is to rely on your hands and feet using your inner Qi.
But I do think itās kind of pointless seeing unused weapons on your back. There should be an ability or two that allows usage of them.
Nobody is talking about using weapons all the time, but rather just for one of the attacks in their rotation. Like they used to be able to. Just flatly saying that as if to suggest that the option should not even exist is pretty absurd. Having weapons on your back which you never use just doesnāt feel right for some people, I donāt see how this is a difficult concept.
As a kung-fu artist weapons are in kung-fu, the staff is the first weapon you learn. Taking weapons away from the monk is a mistake. In Kung-fu monks train with the staff, sword, tiger hook swords, which are a weapon used to disarm your opponent of their weapon. So I suggest that Blizzard do some research on Kung-fu and they wil find that there are weapons used in kung-fu.
The irony: I would love to have my DH fight bare-handed.
The first monk to show up in game as Chen, and he used a 2 handed staff in WC3ā¦
oh wow! fell for the necro!
Either way I agree - Monks should show their weapons being used. It is always weird in that some of their animations use the weapons and then sometimes they just kinda disappear and they use their fistsā¦I also like my monk but this annoys me too.
The staff animations from Legion were great! Why do I only get them if I transmog to legion artifacts? They should work for all staves and polearms! At least give us a glyph for it.
