Please keep Breath of Cindragosa

Just wanted to throw it out there that a lot of people actually like it instead of the vocal minority that posts on the forums. Thanks blizz!

I doubt it is going away. Vocal minority? Not sure how you could determine that.

I just hope that not so much of frost is built around that one talent.

So I can choose not to pick it and you can choose to pick it and we are both competitive and happy.

Why are you picking it?

From what I have see on the pre patch notes there has been very little change to the frost talents so far. For now BoS is still a 100 row talent.

That’s good to hear.

I don’t want it gone-gone, I just want another viable option on the tier. I think that is a reasonable request.

People need to learn the difference between optimal and viable.

Even when BoS is king, the other options are rarely far behind. The community perception of the difference between them is always far larger than reality. If you don’t want to play BoS, just don’t. Don’t know why there is this weird overpowering hatred for breath from some people.

It is the same reason I actually dislike chill streak as a PvP talent: it feels too central to the spec.

Because it pretty much makes the whole spec revolve around it. Thats the reason why people dont want it. Everything else is nerfed because breath damage is so high.

For some one who claims to love that cancer, at least spell it right.

I think many people feel compelled to choose whatever is considered optimal even when it matters little for all but the upper echelon of content. It’s a mentality that has infected all of gaming, and I believe is fueled in WoW particularly by the developers wanting it to be both an RPG and an e-sport. Personally I’d prefer if they just picked one.

The top influences the bottom. Guides usually tell you whats best. Then there are those that dont look at either and pick something like Drain Soul that was actually a dps loss for most of BFA over not taking a talent at all.

Blizzard knows this happens, but there is absolutely nothing they can do when its playerbase driven and taking the path of least resistance is human nature.

Unfortunately it doesn’t seem like that is going to be the case for another two and a half years. Also, I would add that Chill Streak has the same problem. It’s a cookie cutter talent for PvP that provides a mechanical crutch almost akin to Windwalker’s Turbo Fists. We need stronger mechanical variety to give us the ability to create different play-styles that function for the enjoyment of the player, not do-or-die talents that are given the value of baseline abilities.

Ah, he strikes again.

I don’t speak for everyone, but I would lay odds most don’t want it removed, they just don’t want it to be the only optimal talent and therefore the rest of their talents based off that setup. It takes away player choice and that is never a good thing. All Blizz would have to do is ensure that, outside extreme circumstances Icecap and Obliteration are just as strong as BoS.

Alright, so first of all 1. Icecap rules M+ and Nya. 2. Even on beta (with no tuning) Oblit currently holds its own if not surpasses breath. So, the whole thing about “Breath” dominating doesn’t even make sense at the moment.

its not going anywhere, infact on beta, its the only viable dps spec, and will probably remain that way until the end of shadowlands… again…

Oblit can keep up or beat it in ST right now on the beta. BoS wins out on cleave/AoE, as it should. BoS wasn’t the best option for all of BFA. BoS wasn’t the best option for all of Legion either.
