PLEASE Keep Boosting

I’m seeing a lot of negativity on this forum about “boosting” which is ironic because how many people complaining also bought gold to “boost” their alts through SM and Mara. Did you “play” the game as it was intended or did you “boost”? Obviously, it’s not everyone, but please take it with a grain of salt and realize - yes this is an issue, and yes this is already happening.

Now lets take into context WHY Blizzard is letting us boost to 58 (not even 60). - to play with friends.

There are many players that quit Classic and have no intentions of coming back because let’s face it, between but not limited to botting, class imbalance (hello Mages/Warriors) PvP being entirely premades, and raid logging, the community has dwindled. I myself am in this group as are a large majority of players.

However, TBC is as you know a much different game where many of these problems are solved. Due to the issues mentioned above, many friends playing together had quit, or perhaps friends started playing at different times and didn’t originally get the chance.

If you are a new or returning playing and wish to jump back in, especially with friends, are you going to make everyone level (cough SM boost) again? Leveling without boosts as a casual player takes weeks or even months. I can’t help but laugh when people reply and says “it takes 3 days”.

Yes - it does take 3 days, if you boost through SM or if ignore all life responsibilities and play for 12 hours per day. Now, add on the fact you will be asked to level through Classic for the 3rd/4th/5th/6th time and well, you get the idea, there are other more fun alternatives here.

Other issues I see are that this is a slippery slope and where do you draw the line? Ok, yes valid, but this is a one-time boost to level 58. That in itself answers the question, if they were allowing this multiple times then we would have an issue.

Also seeing how this weighs down current players achievements. Um, how? I already have a 60 AQ-geared UD Warrior, but my friends want to play Alliance on a new server and I want to jump right in with them - this is probably the most common example we will run into. And if people want to level to 58, fine, congratulations you aren’t even 60 and you have no chance to even use the 58 towards Classic since its for TBC and on launch anyway.

Honestly, hate to say it, but this argument is another example of the extremely sweaty player base trying to push their agenda so this game can fit their every need. I can assure you that your 6 Naxx Geared 60’s with 25k gold will not be harmed by my blue geared 58 that I could have leveled all this week unbeknownst to you but simply don’t have the time to seeing as we are in a PANDEMIC and my job security is a bit more important than a video game.

Yes, I could level, but no I’d rather just pay to play the same game for the 12th time but this time, with my friends.
