We’re exactly 1.5 years into the Trading Post and it has been a fantastic success for adding new items that are earnable through playtime. The whole concept of the Trading Post was that the items are rotated and will appear again at some point but as the months keep going the obvious flaw is that more and more items are appearing on the Trading Post while the amount of Tenders has never increased.
I don’t know if people remember the first few months of the Trading Post but it was possible to buy like 75% of the items in any given month. Now if you buy a big ticket item you’ll be lucky to buy a 2nd item. Add-in that you don’t know when an item will re-appear (though many have never made a 2nd appearance) it’s hard not to feel like a feature that was marketed as not being FOMO by Blizzard “Items that are rotated out of their inventory won’t be gone for good though—they’ll rotate back into the inventory in future month” has become just that. Another solution would be to have more big ticket mounts/transmogs as the monthly reward instead of often a pet/toy that would be cheaper if it were in the post or the easiest solution is just to reduce the overall cost of items. It’s also never a good feeling to finish a monthly reward system on the first few days of a month and continue to see yourself get Traders Achievements without any reward.
I wouldn’t mind if they switched it from 100 each time you reach a milestone to 200, increasing the amount earned from 500 to 1000 on top of the 500 for the already start of the month, like how they’ve done it for the Love in the Air month.
I think the TP was intentionally designed so that we couldn’t buy out the stock every month. It’ll be interesting to see how long they’re able to keep up with that design and if we’re ever going to reach a point where we’re able to ‘catch up’ and end up having tender sitting around with nothing new to spend it on.
The worst part is that i could afford both of last month’s mounts but only purchased one, i froze one mount and held off buying it just in case something cooler popped up next month, then i lost it all lol
The only way you have 10k is if you are completely disregarding Transmog or high ticket items. That would mean of the 18 months it’s been active you’ve spent less than half of the Tenders.
go up the top where your name is.
there’s a drop-down menu
select “Account Settings”
it’ll take you to a page with a menu on the left “Account Overview”
select “Transaction History”
it will show a page with 3 tabs
Just imagine a having an amazing colection game and make a system that denies its completion (more new itens being made and less currency to have to spend on it)
They won’t because they don’t want you buying everything the first time it’s up, they are going to reuse this stuff over and over year after year and instead of spending money developing stuff each month they would rather limit us, best they can do is sell some currency when it’s bundled up with other store items.
