Please increase herb spawn rate

Can’t believe I’m asking for this. I use to be a very hard line #nochanges kinda guy but at this point i think its time we admit that battle is lost. You created megaservers blizzard but didn’t adjust the spawn rate of resources to accommodate. I believe it is far past time that you did. So I can afford to raid.

I’m not asking for black lotus here. been living without that since launch. I just want to be able to use mongoose and other high end elixirs again. as it stands now i have had to substitute with greater agility and other lower end consumables. this too is becoming a pain since there is no end of players and bots on at all hours for even the low end stuff!

As a side note: How many of you have resorted to using the lower end consumables? I can’t be the only one can I?

Druids can easily farm dire maul east for ghost mushroom/dreamfoil for a large amount of gold.

I’m a tank not a dps or resto so no i can’t. tried it before and the best i was able to do was stealth around and pick what herbs packs of mobs weren’t standing on. was not much gold per hour.

I’d rather they just delete all herb spawns entirely from the game. No more Alchemy.

There are plenty of other ways to make gold. You can even gasp make an alt that is better for farming crap.

The difference in scarcity between herbs which were intended to be equal is a major problem.

Westfall isn’t a megaserver.

I think this statement is 100% false. But it isn’t worth discussing here.

It’s not your main topic, and doesn’t affect your (reasonable) player suggestion that Blizzard should adjust spawn rates.

I really like you explaining your reasons.

blizzard did in fact create megaservers.

at launch servers were original vanilla caps of around 3000 players, when full with outstanding queues to even get in blizzard elected to slowroll additional servers to ensure community success and to prevent mergers down the road from collapsing servers.

INSTEAD OF, adding 50 additional servers to accommodate everyone who wanted to play they added 6, super slow rolled them at that, and upped caps to 10000+ players. that is by definition, a mega server created by blizzard. there were no other server choices, i tried so hard to do PvP east, and my only choice was incendius, a super loaded server, and I had to wait for netherwind to come about. i made level 10 alt all on a pve server the way until netherwinds release, then remade a toon on netherwind when it was finally released.

people are not obligated to reroll on a lower population server, nor are they forced to pay for what should be a fulfillment of a promised #nochanges vanilla experience. which was a failure on blizzards end.

so yes, since blizzard has already decided to give us changes, that should get thrown out the window, and we should make corresponding server changes to make the game playable and manageable, that means herbs/mining/collection to the point where everyone can be self sufficient if they so chose, to align with vanilla.

please, by all means, show me a less than 3000 player population server pvp east that i can pay to transfer too, oh wait, they’re all 100% faction one way or the other. or over 6000+ megas.

by the way, ectoplasmic distiller was a feature all throughout vanilla and utilized by top guilds, blizzard gave us that change and removed it for us. theres all the evidence you need to see blizzard is doing whatever they feel like, not whatever is right.

Sorry can’t tell you that secret information and have my server become a new Incendius.

To add on to this, I just scanned at 5:00 P.M. and there were 1,463 Alliance online and 372 Horde. That’s 1,835 characters online, almost at prime time.

Towards the end of Vanilla, servers were capped at about 3,000-3,500. I can guarantee the only time Westfall approaches that number is Tuesday at raid time.

Medium pop servers are not megaservers, you can use this addon to check for yourself. It’s not broken either, it’s been fixed for about a year now:

They can, but there is still an extreme shortage of dreamfoil and plaguebloom, mountain silversage. SO, what is your point exactly? Oh, you don’t have one that’ isn’t completely off topic.

They absolutely need to increase the amount of high end herbs in the game. It’s especially important on mega servers where demand far exceeds supply.

If youre doing bwl the gold you make from there can usually buy you some mongoose elixirs.

I would agree with Ravinar - with the population of many servers 3-4x higher than in Vanilla, but with the spawn rate and number of nodes unchanged, the demand for herbs (and mining nodes) far eclipses the supply. Again, one of the unbelievably unanticpated side-effects of the larger servers. How could Blizzard not have figured this out ahead of time? It certainly isn’t even close to the Vanilla experience.
