Please improve spell queue

It’s 2022 I should be able to queue my spells without waiting until the previous spell is about to end casting. Mashing keys is not fun or good for wrist longevity.

Thank you.

A spell queue wouldn’t stop you mashing keys, all it would do is queue up a spell while you continue to mash.

If it’s that big of a deal, don’t mash. Hit the key after the cast finishes

You’re making my head hurt lol. Yes, it would stop mashing. It’s common sense.

Why are you mashing buttons to begin with? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Ugh, obviously to maximize utility. Clearly this was the wrong forum to post this on! You guys could care less hahaha

… there’s a GCD and everyone has cooldowns or cast times on most spells/abilities.

You’re not making any sense, so… :woman_shrugging:t4:

I would definitely still mash my keys.

yep. same.

I’ve worn more than one 3 key out on my keyboards over the years.

Every game has limited input buffers. Why would you want this one to be different?

They really don’t. They should use an efficient spell queue that allows you to press the follow up spell or ability you want to cast or use immediately following your action.

I feel like this option already exists.

So you can queue your spells immediately after each other? Please share!

You can accomplish a similar effect with the SpellQueueWindow cvar.

Not even close. It’s still way after you pressed the spell or ability to work.

I’m wanting an immediate spell queue.

Nah, it’s pretty instant for me. Just set it to 400. Its enough for me to pull off my shatter combo.

If they did this, I think they would just make the environment even more hectic and unpredictable. They don’t want people knowing with a high degree of certainty what they will do next. Seems like they want everyone on their toes reacting all the time.

Not saying I agree with it. I would love to queue my next 5 casts up on some specs but I don’t think bliz even wants that to be possible regarding gameplay, let alone mechanically.

I mean it’s a fundamental game component. Imaging jumping after pressing attack just because you input jump.

It’s just such a niche feature that I doubt you’ll ever get traction for it.

Movement keys aren’t included in the equation.
