I picked up the “Learning the ropes” quest from the quest giver in Goldshire.
I have learnt the talent and am now trying to win my first pet battle.
It will not give me the credit for a win.
I already have the Achievement for winning 10 pet battles " Catfight". But i cannot complete this quest.
Im not in a raid group, ive learnt the skill, i have used multiple pets, i am fighting the pets in the highlighted areas around goldshire and in elwynn forest. I have abandoned and re picked up the quest several times.
Checking the Wowhead . com comments on this quest, was only one mention of someone having same problem and that was back in 2013. So afraid I can’t offer any help. If it’s letting you start a battle with a wild pet and win it, but still doesn’t show quest completed, may be time to open a ticket.
yeah i have opened a ticket, got the automated response with the basic try this and that, just waiting now for the response. 5 day wait time apparently.
Try doing it on a different character. It might not work, but you never know.
FIXED: I was contacted by Blizzard, they stated that the small quest chain is buggy, the push and completed the quest for me, i had to have them do it on another quest in the chain soon after!!! So if you get bugged on this quest, open a ticket, assuming you have tried everything they will just auto complete the quest.
