Does your connection route through any areas of the country that may have been damaged by the storms in the recent days? If parts of the infrastructure are down, you may find you have packet loss, are routed somewhere else with longer latency, etc.

You can check your own network data path to Blizzard’s server using WinMTR. Let it run for 10 mins or so. That way you get data over time, not just an instant snapshot.

I have had a few DCs today too, and a lot of lag overall. I got hit pretty badly last night by storms though and between me and the servers are a LOT of areas that got severe tornado dmg.

This error indicates that there is an issue with data streaming for the World of Warcraft client .

Those are generic disconnection errors, not something specific that will tell you why you disconnected. All the server knows is you are no longer there. It can also happen when servers are swamped by traffic, but that is not likely right now given it is not a patch or expansion release day.

Lets pretend nothing is wrong and the only thing wrong is your video ram.

Meaning you do not have enough. So lower your resolution down by 50%
I know its a pain but this is just for testing.
Now run the game and lower the graphic settings in the game by 50%
Ok once desktop settings and game settings are reduced by 50% now play the game…

Reply back after you have played the game with reduced settings.

my shaman in stormwind has been online for 5 minutes and on going but i need to get to valdraken where chilesverdes ret pally is for solo shuffle but he disconnects when i logintohim

switch to Comcast/Xfinity OP, they’ll charge an arm and a leg but the good news is you’ll never DC with a wired connection (…unless there’s an outage in the area)

You might still DC if you use wi-fi, since that’s more susceptible to interruptions and such

But the wired connection? It’s solid, don’t think I’ve ever suffered a random DC while on a wired connection

Or you could try a wired connection with your current provider, see if that helps
