I’m really hoping “Diabolist” is a demo spec that can transform into a demon again, just look at how popular the form is on SoD. I main a DH and i don’t care if Warlocks get Meta they had it first and it adds a lot of flavor to the class.

Otherwise, not huge on the term Diabolist and would prefer Demoniac but hey! Thats just a thematic thing lol, I’ll take Diabolist if it still means meta form.

Was honestly never keen on Warlock having meta. It fits in much better with DH, IMO. Just like Death Coil and DK. These are just spells from WC3 that got pushed into lock because people still drew inspiration from WC3 at the time. Now everything is much more fleshed out, and WoW has matured beyond its source material.

It’s matured so much beyond its source material that the marketing for SoD used Warlocks getting Meta as one of its main selling points lol
If anything, SoD proved that it fits in perfectly with the class and stands apart visually and mechanically from the versions Demon Hunters have.

Its popular in SoD cause it lets us tank. The form itself kinda blows imo. Just give me cool spells or cool demons idc.

I’d like diabolist (or one of the new trees) to allow us to tank. Being able to DPS or tank in SoD is amazing fun, and having more potential tanks in the pool is never a bad thing.
I wouldn’t mind it back, but also update the graphics on it. Even if it just comes back as a cosmetic thing.

Gonna be tricky reintroducing it since demon hunter already has it by stealing it from us.
But I would love the ability to go demon mode and be an off tank

It was always clunky. That version of demo was the dumping ground for spells leftover from the other 2 specs.
While it can be argued that older demo was clunky, you gotta admit the instant playstyle change metamorphosis gives can be very fun for current demonology.
Imagine being a ranged DPS then instantly going into tank mode as metamorphosis, I love that flexibility
