Please give Void elves & Nightborne More Classes in 9.2

  • Demon Hunter

Void elves are blood elves who got exiled. That could mean that some Illidari could have been among their ranks prior to exile. Additionally, void and fel do not adversely react with each other. Void elves should be able to be Demon Hunters.

There are felblood NPCs in Suramar that are magically enhanced by fel, which indicates that some Nightborne could have seeked tutilage under other Illidari (ex. Korvas and others) when the battle against Legion ended, to be ready for future threats. This would justify Nightborne Demon hunters as well, since there needs to be a balance of Demon Hunters in the two factions.

For any other classes I would leave that to the discretion of the devs, but druids for Nightborne and paladins / shamans for Void elves seem to be very popular requests.

Void and Fel do adversely affect each other; Light, Void, and Fel are all antagonistic due to Fel being the result of Light and Void destroying each other.

As for DHs being among the Void Elves, the Demon Hunters have not been a part of either Night Elf OR Blood Elf society since they became DHs… they are as hated by Elven society as Void Elves and other perceived “traitors”.

Additionally as seen by the DH starting experience, Illidan’s idea of only using Elves due to their durability/magical aptitude and longer life spans was apparently somewhat justified, as even with Elves only 1 in 5 DHs actually survive the experience of the initial ritual to become one, and even not all of THOSE are lucky enough to last long as shown by one DH exploding from too much damage.

Having said that, now add the MADNESS of a Voif Elf to the Demon Within and you literally have something that’d be so dysfunctional it’d probably be comatose for the rest of it’s thousand year life span. If you don’t outright explode from the two contradictory forces you’d end up like this:

All I want are High Elf Paladins in the most prestigious blue and silver gear… No void Elfs. No Blood Elfs.

Blood Elves Eyes - Locked to Green, gold and (Red for dark rangers)
Void Elves - Locked to Purple and pink
High Elves - locked to baby blue and dark blue.

Oh yeah, give Blood Elf’s Darkranger appearance with pale white skin. That’s another fan need iv’e seen for years also.

I stand firm with this and still want it to be more realistic from lore.

Yess! I would LOVE more classes for my velf! Especially seeing as how Ion said that NO class is ever truly closed for anybody! Paladins and Shammies for our velves/helves <3

See Void Elf paladin hurts me. It just dose not sit well with me and the light. However a High Elf paladin seem much more understandable.

Just like Undead Priests just should not be a thing imo.

Nah, blood elves should have all the eye colors. Still not a fan of void elves getting to appear not-voidy, but the Alliance has a habit of whinging and getting uncomfortably upset at elves getting darker skin tone options.

Who knows but knowing blizzad they come out with unicorn race soon that spews rainbow lava out of its mouth for AoE for a racial that makes enemies dance.

Paladins would make a good addition to Void elves, even if void themed, because Velfs only have 2 healing classes, which I consider slightly low when most races have 3. There’re several reasons why Void elves could be justified as paladins, even if they are void themed, despite some people not wanting to admit that.

They were always going to get their blue eyes back according to the devs though. No reason to lock them, and I like the headcanon of purple being super into the arcane.

We started with Blue. Purple is new. Don’t lock us out of what we already possessed.

Same for the Blood Elves with the purple. Gold I can also find myself not being against as the High Elves should be affected by the Sunwell’s Light half. That said not sure I’d go so far as to take that color from blood elves and share it.

Old Gods yes!

I kinda like the Void Elf Paladins if its a Void based skin to represent the Riftblades we have.

Aw, it’s okay. The world ain’t gonna end because blood elves got some customization options

At this point it don’t matter. There are Undead Priest so might as well make every race do any class IMO.

Shadow priests and Alonsus Faol exist y’know

In all fairness, it was never really clarified what kind of “Dark” energy was animating Forsaken by reattaching their souls to their bodies, and Death energy makes sense as a substitute for Shadow, as the old lore book referred to any unnatural energies as “Dark” as they were involved in the “Dark arts”. The alt reason given being that the Light causes the Death energy to thin and bring the soul even closer in contact with it’s undead form also makes sense, as Undead were always stated as having a “muted” form of the 5 senses as well as makes sense when considering the lore surrounding the “Veil between life and death” we visit when we die as well…

Like Nathrezim being beings of Death originally and having an affinity for magic as shapeshifters, Undead animated by Death energy is one of those retcons which ironically enough actually shore up an old lore plothole, rather than create new ones.

Sorry for seeming salty but the last 2 days I’ve been getting stomped in Mage tower. Just sort of getting over it now but also still not wanting to give up just feeling defeat atm. I just feel the game should have presented itself more like the lore but anymore it just don’t matter if it makes others happy than why not.

Thing is Void elves can already be holy and disc priests, undead can be priests as well, and even zandalari have paladins now. It seems a bit odd to not give us paladins. But another healing class would be good for Velfs since they only have priest and monk that can be healers.

In all fairness, there are some key differences between a Paladin and a Priest, the book: Arthas shows that a Paladin embodies the Light on a much deeper level than a Priest for instance… to the point of being filled with it. Priests call on the Light as an external source, whereas Paladins have truly become one with said cosmic force.

The book on Arthas and the Third war in fact gives us a glimpse at the ritual to become a Paladin in part of an early chapter.

Zandalari paladins have been a thing since classic…
