Please give us this toy!

Something that will cosmetically swap out the models for the followers in follower dungeons with models of our alts of the same class. Nothing else has to change. The followers don’t have to gear like our alts but they just look like our alts.

Please please please make this machinima maker’s dream come true and give us a toy like that. It would be so useful.

During an interview/preview a while back with T&E (i believe?) Holly did tease that they were working on follower dungeons using your alts.

Hmmmm… so curious. What could it mean? Yeah it would be kinda neat if our warbands could have a more Dragon Age like aspect to it without the Micro Management that Dragon Age requires.

I rather like the follower dungeons feature and it would be swell if it was expanded to include older expansions. Being able to do that with alts you also level up would be a good way to get players to engage with alts. I’ve found the warbank to be huge in making me want to level up alts because I’m easily able to use the warband to support my main by crafting things for me like enchants and mogs. As a F2P I can’t engage at all in the economy side of the game. I’m unable to trade, use the auction house nor the mail boxes. The warbank means I can now level up professions to enchant my gear to make me a slightly more effective Baby Twink.

And getting into machinima making has made me see alts as extras and special guest stars so that’s also motivated me to make alts. I’ve mained a gnome rogue since vanilla (Used to main Chibisue on Silvermoon). I had a handful of alts that were two or three brackets below my main because I never bothered to level them up to the current expansion. I just never found anything I liked playing more than I loved playing a gnome rogue.

I think another reason I’m suddenly getting into levelling alts as a F2P is I only have to level them to 20 and I don’t have to worry about their gear, just their crafting. If they stumble across something good, I’ll upgrade it but their job isn’t to go into Battlegrounds and steal flags or orbs or Azerite or any of those other things that the Alliance Militia for Low Level Immortals sends the Pook into a random battle ground to steal. Their job is to make the enchants and other junk the Pook needs to be better at stealing stuff for the good guys.

weren’t delves initially advertised as something you’d clear with your warband? i distinctly remember somewhere that warbands were advertised as having more gameplay features than just being a super alt-friendly system.

Hopefully they continue to update and add new features to warbands. Follower dungeons and delves aside, I’d love to see my alts hanging out in my future house. Go from a warband to a roommate simulator.

Kind of like the older Animal Crossing games. I remember that being a thing you could do. Or at least have an alt villager in your same town.
