Please Blizzard, I’m begging you give us playable sethrak. You’ve been dangling them in front of us for like 6 years now this is getting absurd. I don’t know what I need to do, how hard I need to scream into the void, what sacrifices I need to make. Snakes and reptiles often don’t get much representation when it comes to rpgs and such, that’s all I want. It’s just frustrating to be endlessly waiting for this, even after the proper animations and stuff are mostly in the game. How long are we going to be ignored on this?

There is always hope, Koeboldt. A lot of efforts have been done to put them on their radar: New arts, held two parades for the Sethrak (both of which were quite successful), PlatinumWow did a video on them. We’ve got people talking about them to an extent!

Let him know that the fight for Sethrak is still ongoing, and I’d say has increased vastly, I’ve been consistently posting around bluesky, held parades (twice) and had a lot of attendees. We’re making our voices heard! ^^

Begging won’t change a thing unless a writer decides they want to do something major with sethrak again, which is becoming decreasingly likely as BfA grows older and Xal’atath’s involvement in it is the only thing they want to acknowledge.
They were important to only about half of the story of Vol’dun and a single optional storyline in Zuldazar. After that, they had one supporting character in SL who spends most of the expansion as a Maldraxxus construct, then TWW added a transformation toy and an extremely minor character who appears in a single delve story, unless you count the refti in DF, which I wouldn’t. That’s only “dangling them in front of [you]” when you take whatever scraps you can get and magnify their importance tenfold.
The race’s model is not built to wear full sets of gear and does not have nearly enough animations to be a full race. The model used by the aforementioned toy only has the bare minimum number of animations needed to function, which means it can’t perform any monk punch and kick animations and you get snapped back to normal when you get on a mount.
I want Sethrak, too, OP. I want more anthro races and less humanoid ones.

I would love to see more Sethrak and/or Sethrak content in some way. It was super cool when we got the Lightning-Blessed Spire toy, and a lot of those cool weapon transmogs too. Would love to see them as a playable race despite the arguments about mogging issues (dracthyr exist and we have wonky tauren helmets still)!

Fam I feel, but tbh, we’re more likely to be completely ignored again and to have Blizzard just take a couple of preexisting races, put them into an AI slop combiner tool, and then to just slap a garbage name on them and add them in instead.

Playable Sethrak, please! So many people have wanted to play them since BfA and still do. They are absolutely a race worth making playable.
And give us playable Furbolg and Ogres too.

I don’t think they’ve been ‘dangling’ these things at all. Besides, they can’t make them playable for a number of reasons, chief among them is playable character models need two legs. And some people have ‘phobia’ of snakes, whether or not it’s even worth mentioning is debatable as that’s in such a low percentage of the population.
