A beautiful failed Old God experiment (will/mind too strong) would be fantastic.
my vote goes to mantid. or sethrak. or arakkoa. or uh⌠broken.
imho it should be gnolls or kobolds.
theyâre one of first monster mobs alliance ever fight
lol would be cool to have them
I cant stand the Horde players.
Why? Nobody would play them and then Alliance players would scream about how ânobody ever asked for thisâ.
Just like with Mechagnomes, which Alliance players had been demanding since Wrath.
The Nerubians fit that mold better than anything else in the game: a subspecies of the Aqir who were once a part of their Black Empire until they grew too intelligent and willful that the Nerubians began to resent the wickedness of the Old Gods who cared little about their creations that would fight and die for them that eventually the Nerubians would break away to continue with their own civilization with beliefs and practices leaning primarily towards the Arcane instead of the Void.
Mechagnomes are human-y and i dont remember anyone asking for them.
A number of alliance players have said that the ones we got werenât the ones they asked for. (I donât personally care, I didnât ask for either)
Oh right, they wanted full robots. I have heard that. I still think it would have flopped.
You seem to gloss over the fact that the Alt. Draenor Arakkoa were being attacked by the Iron Horde in that time: the Shattered Hand and Bleeding Hollow Clans would attack and invade their territory to butcher their settlements even before the formation of the Iron Horde, and here those same Clans would become rolled up into the Magâhar Clans that are now a part of the regular Horde: again, a faction that had left the Arakkoa for dead during the Magâhar Recruitment Scenario as there was nobody left to directly challenge the heavily militarized and zealot Lightbound.
Exactly, and according to the books, The League of Arathor was helped out by the Arakkoa during The Second War: serving the Alliance as guides when the Alliance took the fight to the Orcish Horde on their homeworld. Turalyon and Alleria would be welcoming of the bird people into their ranks as it would feel like old times again.
Yes, I know.
It wonât matter. Whatever non-generic race Blizzard gives the Alliance, there will be a collective amnesia with people claiming nobody ever asked for it.
Personally, I hope Blizzard gives Alliance the damn fish-men. That would be hilarious.
âNOBODY EVER ASKED FOR THESE FISH-MEN THEYâRE HIDEOUS!!!â
I could write the threads in advance, right now. Then post them after the race is made playable, and save everyone the trouble of posting.
Oh, I would love Alliance vulpera.
I hate that my vulpera are forced to go to that eyesore that is Orgrimmar.
The least they could do is put portals in TBâŚ
Also, may I express my deep hatred for that stupid portal room in Orgrimmar? SWCâs is way better in every way.
Anyhow, to the OP: Worgen are cool. I know their models arenât perfect, but they are still cool. And so are Pandaren.
This reminded me to a meme I saw one day of Saurfang and Anduin. Saurfang was complaining telling all the evil acts Horde made and how they canât have peace. When Anduin replies âWow, they look like really bad people.â Saurfang replies âYou have made an enemy for life!â
The entire Draenei race was retconned lore so at that point they could make them anything they wanted really. Iâve come to like Draenei over the years but I agree their addition originally wasnât great.
Not being great is par for the course in races they have given to Alliance though. At least they put some effort into the Draenei.
There is plenty of precedence for the Jinyu joining forces with the Alliance as it has been done in the past: the Pearlfin Jinyu from The Jade Forest joined forces with Admiral Taylor and backed up by the Alliance when the Forest Hozen were brutally attacking the Jinyusâ homes. Years later, The Alliance under the authority of Jaina Proudmoore would chase after Nathanos who possessed Xalâatathsâ dagger that he would give over to Queen Azshara in Nazjatar and both the Alliance and Horde were stuck in the region at the mercy of the Naga: the Alliance would saddle up with the Waveblade Clan of the ocean dwelling Ankoan Jinyu during their campaign to reclaim the Tidestone and take the fight to the Eternal Palace.
The fact that the Jinyu are highly-evolved Murlocs is just a recipe for an interesting joke: that the Alliance has officially gained Playable Murlocs.
You already see humans hanging out in Org with Dracthyr. The only original race that is still Alliance only is gnomes. And only then if you donât count goblins and vulpera being reskinned gnomes. Humans, NEâs and dwarves are all available Horde side now. Yet none, not a single one, of the Horde races are available to Alliance.
I still contend that Highmountain Tauren should have gone Alliance given their ties to NEâs and Malfurion stretching as far back as the first Legion invasion. But that was around the time of the height of Blizz devâs âFor the Hordeâ culture so that wasnât allowed to happen.
It was to mirror the blood elves.
In vanilla Alliance got the traditionally good fantasy races while Horde got the traditionally evil fantasy races.
Then BC the Alliance got a traditionally evil fantasy race(demons) and Horde got the traditionally good fantasy race.
And like the previous traditionally evil fantasy races, Blizzard gave them lore to make them not evil.
They did a similar retcon with orcs going into WC3 btw, people just donât bring it up all the time.
I think anything Bliz does is going to prompt a lot of complaining. Iâd enjoy getting the fishmen (not my first choice, but theyâre on my list).
Yeah, might as well, you have the style down.
I still want Tortollan!
Minus all of the enormously overpowered Alliance racials, of course.
