It’s been over a month since any tuning has been done to the m+ dungeons outside of a fix or 2. Meanwhile every dungeon needs tuning to some degree or another. Not only do they need tuning, but many of them having glaring bugs that can literally kill a key cough Neltharus cough. Can we pretty please get some tuning daddy blizzard?
Not trying to be snarky but can you give a few more examples?
I am curious, do you mean the chain boss? I feel like half of the time that boss is bugged!
yeah, i have no idea what OP is talking about. Its supposed to be challenging
First boss of Brackenhide is the only one I can think of that could use some tuning, every time I run that one the healer struggles to keep the group alive.
I feel this is the case too. This boss has been bugged since release. I’ve run into multiple keys where he keeps doing his chain mechanic and spitting fireballs everywhere not stop, like a ridiculously long time until everyone just dies from spiking damage.
I’ve been in other keys where he stands completely still and does nothing after the first few seconds of the fight lol. This however… is just fine and needs no fixing whatsoever in my humble opinion.
i’ve only had real problems there with a preist healer on the first boss. After that its just mechanics and knowing when to use defensives.
I agree m+ need tuning, to be harder.
I can’t think of much that is needed…
Fixing the avalanch bug where it damages you as soon as the circle appears would be nice.
Trash at start of HOI is pretty annoying. 2 lazers going on someone is unhealable.
Neltharius could use another 1 minute on the timer.
All 8 on 20 or lower is pretty easy though
I don’t think it’s like super bad in it’s current state until you are at like a 20+ key but there are still a few mechanics that could use some nerfing (or adjusting in some cases).
ULD: The bleed from the 3rd boss (Sentinel Talondras).
NL: I think Naraxas is still a bit too punishing for not having multiple poison dispels. Some mobs could also use some tunning down like the Scorpions near the last boss or honestly the Pelters.
HOI: The laser from the orbs in the early parts, and maybe the drakes AOE dot, the dungeon in general might be a bit too reliant on mass dispel.
Neltharus: I think Forgemaster is a bit overtunned in the overall damage… Other than that the Chains gimmick it’s kind of too much I think.
VP: I think the soldiers near the start should have their Rushing Wind ability cast time increased so it’s more realistic to stop it. Probably the Empyrean Assassin’s “Charge” thingy could be nerfed a bit. For the last boss I think affixes like incorporeal or afflicted should not spawn while the spark is up.
Brackenhide: Probably affixes like incorporeal or afflicted should not spawn while the totem is up (from last boss). First boss is fine does not need a nerf (learn to use defensives / healing potions and healers learn to plan around using CDs for when the bleeds go out).
Those are the ones I can think of.
I’m not sure about balance because it feels so different group to group, but I always forget about the bug on the chains boss in Neltharus until it happens. Again. The boss just sort of stalls out after being stunned and when his AI starts working again he just goes into another fiery focus phase without ever putting the chains out. Not looking forward to that happening on a 20+ Tyran key.
M+ is fine, if you want to see a real tuning travesty to do some PvP and report back on specifically the lack of variety in the classes/specs you see.
At least each spec sees some play in M+
Don’t think it’s really a matter of tuning just that Dragonflight Dungeons are absolutely awful and far too mechanic heavy.
Also because I know how the internet is no I’m not against mechanics in dungeons.
I feel like Neltharion’s Lair trash ability “Avalanche” could use a tad of work imo…
I feel like Nelthanus’ game breaking bugs should be a priority for a hot fix. It’s kind of amusing at this point to see how long it stays like that. I guess that Blizzard really doesn’t have the talent or resources anymore to put out a quality product. That’s what happens when you have a D-team of nobodies running a game that’s long since been abandoned by the people who actually built and cared about it.
Maybe I’m just extremely lucky but I’ve not encountered these bugs people claim of. The neltharus boss has never not worked for my groups…
Hey, they stealth hotfixed the door to auto open. What more could you want?
U can also dodge avalanche before the cast goes off…. But its been like that since legion soo…. Good luck with that!
Nothing else in the current game has anything that requires such fast reaction times, it stands out
This could be due how and when the chains are used.
Not that it isn’t a horribly screwy experience with the boss jumping around after the chains are out. But if you break all three chains before he starts the ability you’re in trouble. Possible breaking any of them can screw it up. And with all the AoE’s it can keep melee out of range forever running the chain around to trip the boss.
The mechanics on the last boss are also horrible. Random abilities with different methods to use with long cast times that have to be cast while the boss is throwing random AoEs all over the place…
Both are unfulfilling experience success or fail.
