Maybe hear me out though? I don’t wanna say I speak for everyone but maybe some people will empathize with my sentiments.
- The raid trinkets are disliked and going to be a problem too.
- They’re not everyone’s top concern right now because literally everyone won’t have it yet. The earth facing a nuclear catastrophe today shouldn’t be met with meager concern just because an asteroid might destroy us next year. Let’s deal with now problems first.
- Legendary or not, another tool that abuses off the gcd high burst is problematic. Kind of goes with point 1.
- Rogues aren’t the only class that crit? Sure, they use it the most consistently out of anyone but that doesn’t mean others don’t use it too. Crit is a stat ya know.
This is also ironically a problem because you insinuate that if it benefited you, you wouldn’t be providing the “secret reasons” we’re all to dumb to grasp. People shouldn’t be biased any yet you’re out here on every single thread about this advocating for drest’s “fine-ness.” Seems like you care a great deal about this being relevant. Why is that?

Because Drest is not a problem for non rogues.
The rarity for other classes of a Crit, is fine.
The same with skulkers, and Dreadfire.
Some classes, like again my DH. Are doing far less damage than the rest, and they rely on these trinkets, normal damage to be a slight bit of burst to help to actually kill the broken classes.
Should I instead run the 40% vers increase? Then I have no burst, in a bursty meta. Might as well unistall.
New trinkets come out today yes but not everyone is going to get one or have one.
Everyone already has drest.
Every rogue has 100% crit leggo.
Every rogue is hitting you for 6-7k drest 100% crit chance.

Dont gut every trinket, and make other classes unplayable to stop 1 class from abusing 1 legendary…
A trinket from a previous expansion, 10 levels ago, and a previous raid tier is inexcusable to defend.
Gut it, rip it to shreds and throw it down the drain.
Even attempting to defend a trinket which is hitting instantly for close to Gpyro damage is madness.
Especially when said trinket should have no relevance 10 levels and an expansion later.

I’d argue even non crits are bad for the game. On demand pve trinket burst that’s off the gcd and not a player ability isn’t healthy. No one likes it.
Oh so it’s fine if other classes global people on occasion. In a single match, what’s the perceived difference? “Oh it’s fine, we got globaled but if we queue into them again we might not cause crit chance.”

Even if Drest crits, it still only hits for 7k, on a 1.5m CD.

The SL trinkets HIT FOR EVEN MORE… Drest will be completely gone in 2 weeks. It will RARELY see play.
The game is fine as it is. Bursty already classes get to get 40% more damage from Vers. Classes lacking burst get a burst. Good trade off.

This is such a weird and bad take. You’re arguing a trinket from last xpac, that is still relevant today when ranked starts, shouldn’t be nerfed, when it is a large part of the rogue’s burst? That they use as part of the opener and kill you in a kidney?

relying on trinkets for damage isnt healthy for the game, because every single class has access to them. when all 3 people on a team are running a trinket that does 10k damage per hit, and they all press it at the same time, well you know what happens. certain classes underperforming is a class design problem, not a trinket problem. the excuse for advocating for pve trinkets in pvp just because your class is underperforming isnt a solid argument. also saying that DH has no burst when the hunt can hit for 20k is kind of a lie.
