If i have 3 tabs in my warband (1 freebie, 2 purchased), and I have selected the 2nd tab, or any tab other than the first tab… And I click from my bags to deposit mats into the warband… They don’t go into the tab I am in, they go into the 1st tab.
Like. Come on. If I am in the 2nd tab, depositing mats should go into the 2nd tab. Not the first 1st tab.
I can say this affects me as well.

Having to deposit by moving each thing over manually is annoying.
I don’t think it’s a bug, I think anything not set by filters goes to the first open slot
OMG yes , this bugs me so fooking much, my first tab is all warbound stuff i use or deposit on regular basis, i have the second tab be where i sort and store all my warbound gear for my alts to access and when I go to deposit it it puts its the first tab not the second tab

It’s intentional, just kinda dumb.
They expect you to set categories for tabs, depositing equipment will always go in the equipment tab regardless of which one you’re viewing.
Why they didn’t make it work like guild banks… who knows. May have been a coding snafu trying to figure out where to put stuff that didn’t meet the initial category criteria. It was all done quick & dirty and I’m sure there was a lot of priority placed on making sure it wouldn’t cause item duplication glitches.
That’s not a bug. That’s a “feature.” They’re making us designate tabs for things or it all goes into the first tab, regardless of what you have selected.
Be advised: they’re going to change the personal bank into the same crap. Be prepared for horrible design. Again.
