you mean people try and skip the second boss and the dungeon kills them for it.
ya. today there was a shaman who didn’t get out of the water after 2nd boss (everyone ran over platform and jumped) before fishies killed him (idk why people can’t be bothered to kill a 10 second boss)
it killed him and thus he was stuck running back
Mythic mindset. Everything dies so fast in Timewalking. I dont get why people skip.
It’s really easy, actually. The fish in the water bug and murder you when you’re on land and nowhere near them. They will two or three shot anyone, and there is nothing you can do about it.
Regardless of how much better you think you are than everyone else, though, clearly dying in instances is a thing that happens. And the run back shouldn’t be as brutal as it is. It’s ungodly terrible in this instance.
i leave the instant someone starts doing that.
nah its tbc working as intended. it doesnt like it when you try and ignore its mechanics. so it starts deleting people left and right as it should be.
I’ve had this happen to me after killing the second boss while still on the ramp/platform.
yeah its been bugged like that since the dungeon came out back during tbc. it hasnt been fixed since then.
These two posts seem contradictory. If it’s bugged, it’s not working as intended.
I guess at the end of the day, it makes for a worse experience for everyone to not fix this bug or at least make the run back off the death not literally end the run for someone. I’ve 3 or 4 manned this instance many times while someone ran back. That’s just lame for everyone.
Another one that’s funny as a healer is the first mana tombs boss when he reflects all the damage and people keep attacking. Or not pulling the trash before the boss
the joke went over your head.
Well, it’s hard to kill something when it evades you because you’re not in the water with it, which normally would mean it shouldn’t be able to hit you, but these bad boys treat distance as a suggestion.
I’ve also seen plenty of deaths from unsuspecting tanks in Shattered Halls, normally on the first pull, always a delight to watch, I know I’m gonna be in for good one.
9 times out of 10, if someone says “working as intended” it’s sarcasm and things are in fact not working as intended. Honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone say “working as intended” for something that was actually working as intended, but there’s always a chance.
I’ve been tanking them all day and I’ve seen plenty.
Usually it’s some cocky dps thinking they can pull packs on their own and gets killed, then releases out of embarrassment before combat is over so they don’t have to endure the humiliation of being resurrected.
Had this happen to a fury warrior yesterday but I have to say he was at fault. He was running ahead pulling everything (without aggro) and then jumped into the way to pull the boss I guess he didn’t ever do UB before…
this happened to me today lol
this is funny to me since I went through TBC classic , followed by wotlk classic, leveling toons . these dungeons need some respect with their mechanics and locations. remember the entrance is under the lake
Absolutely not. With a mediocre tank that can hold aggro or a good offhealer, a group will get by just fine. The healing requirements on most TW dungeons are more like “we suggest you cast a heal or two” vs “you must heal.” If you have a full premade group, you’ll be better served by running four DPS.
I appreciate the forewarning. It’ll give me something to look forward to using Rebirth for.
Because despite the rest of the dungeon being trivial, the water with the hydra boss still one-two shots players.
Blood Furnace is pretty bad, trash hits like trucks and those mines can easily kill.
Not necessarily, lower level characters don’t have all active/passive abilities unlocked. In addition, I believe scaling is crazy strong on lvl1 to 60, not 60 to 70.
