Just did the Nazmir emissary on Tovi and my Mage. I’ve been Blood since Wrath and I was rewarded with a nice, shiny 1h mace that I’m either going to vendor or scrap.
This was pretty damn depressing because that reward would have been a 20 ilevel upgrade.
p.s. Thanks for pouring salt in the wound and giving my Mage a wand that will also be sold or scrapped.
I am looking for a two handed weapon on my druid. My offhand on her is like 225 ilvl I keep getting maces and no offhands. Just give me a damn staff and be done with it already.
The emissary was offering a 360 weapon. All I wanted was the reward to go with my spec. I understand my Mage is SOL because none of her specs are tied to a certain weapon type but that’s not the case for DKs. I should not be getting a 1h weapon.
I don’t understand what you’re against or what you think I’m asking for. I don’t care what the ilevel of the reward is, I just want it to be tied to my spec. You know that certain classes are tied to specific weapons… what’s wrong with wanting a weapon that would benefit me?
The problem is I can’t dw tank. Why am I getting this as a reward? It’s fine that the armor cache is random because no matter what I get, I can use it. I can’t even be a bad tank and dw because the game will not let me dw.
Getting this mace is only one small step above getting cloth armor for the reward.
Yes it’s stupid that you can get 370 gear from “catching squirrels” but it’s just as stupid that the cache doesn’t adhere to your spec. If you’re going to put something in the game, at least make it somewhat useful.
The system seems designed to purposely make you keep logging in for faction assaults by deliberately giving you off-spec weapons. It is broken and irritating and really needs to be re-evaluated. @Tovi You’re best off disregarding Illidonkey’s opinion on most things gear-related, because they firmly believe that unless you are doing their idea of end-game content, you should not need to improve your ilvl.
I wholeheartedly agree. It reminds me of the mechanics of those bags they give you for doing low lvl dungeons where I’ve even gotten leather braces with strength on them. I’ll never understand that one because unless I miss something, there’s not even a class in the game that uses strength leather.
