PLEASE fix the strafing animation back to how it was in CLASSIC!

Strafing on the Classic Beta is currently bugged. The torso does not turn the way you’re facing when strafing, only the head does. This bug only shows when targeting another player or NPC. When targeting yourself it works as intended.

Blizzard, if you’re willing to show us you’re going to the extent of changing every little detail such as the lighting and shadows, then I hope you’d be willing to fix this too.

Is this still an issue once the game is fully downloaded? I had the bad strafing animation while the background download was still running, but now that the DL is complete it seems to be strafing correctly for me. Are other people seeing the same behaviour?

Edit: Never mind, it’s broken itself again…

Which models? I was looking at male forsaken on a stream and something did look off.

It’s literally every single model in the game right now. I’ve checked all of them.

I really hope they will address or fix this. This may not seem like a big deal to some people and surely anyone who didn’t play Vanilla/TBC/WOTLK; but it plays a huge role in how your character looks when using abilities while strafing. I absolutely loved how the races looked originally before they changed the character animations, and this is just left over from the modern client when they reverse engineered it.

This is kind of a big deal for me. The lack of an actual strafing animation makes me feel like my character is disengaged. I feel like I’m playing some RTS or something; this is terrible, why tf did they even change this in BfA? I’m not playing a fking chess piece that can move in 4 strict directions (chess can diagonal too but let me make a point) I’m kind of a living creature that looks in the general direction he’s interested in. Current state is ugly as hell.

There is a video from a Beta tester that shows this.

If there is no target, the strafe looks right. As soon as the player picks up a target this new awful strafe animation is used.

I agree with all of you. The added to the engagement of the combat you were in. It absolutely was visually better. If it’s possible to change it back they should absolutely do it.

Cuz it’s something that anybody is reported in the demo?

Haha thank god you all see it the same way I do. It really did add to the engagement of combat and looked massively better than what we’re seeing in beta from retail.

Need more voices so Blizzard can fix this before release!!

It is a lot more likely this would be seen if you submitted it as a bug or feedback in-game.

Wow Classic is cancelled guys, they couldn’t fix strafe animation.
