Most people who play on RP realms like myself really like getting new transmog, and SL was very tough for us since Legion was not soloable for 95% of the expansion.
They’ve been trying to recycle old content for a while now and “whoopsie, we totally forgot to address legacy content difficulty” goes right along with the recycle. But I’m sure it’s just a coincidence.
Ironically, old raids are evergreen content. People are constantly running them for pets, transmog, and mounts.
Could Blizzard not easily implement some sort of damage buff aura with minimal maintenance involved? People are already paying an admission fee to be here, what difference does it make what content they’re doing?
I could solo a lot of Legion content at the end of BfA, that they screwed up scaling so bad when Shadowlands hit was one reason I quit (more so because Ion outright lied heading into Shadowlands in stating the scaling changes would not change relative player power against old content).
If at 70, Legion raids aren’t walk-in, hit boss, boss dies and BfA raids aren’t soloable with minimal issues, then there isn’t a prayer’s chance in hell I’ll bother with Dragonflight.
At this point, the game director should just go on the record and say that he doesn’t want players to be able to solo old raids because he misguidedly believes it cheapens the accomplishments of the precious one percent. There is simply no other logical explanation for 4+ year old content not being facerolll easy by now. I wish this was not the case, but the truth is clear as day. If he does decide to finally be honest about this, my WoW days will come to a permanent end.
I mean Antorus is only supposed to be soloable as of the first raid tier of DF. Ian has stated that the time window they target for being able to solo old raids is 2 expansions later.
Not sure why there are so many saying they aren’t, I’ve soloed Legion raids on Mythic excepting Eonar in Antorus, for most of Shadowlands on multiple classes, and not in any Mythic raid gear.
This rogue has sub 200 iLevel gear and I’ve soloed Nighthold and Antorus (minus Eonar, had a guildie come in that had the skip until I unlocked it personally to skip that boss) without issue for a long time for transmog/mount drops.
I have, I’ll do it again after servers come up just to see if the patch changed anything.
I kept having a problem where Avatar would despawn in the first phase and not respawn so I would just leave. Doesn’t happen every time but was happening often enough for it to be annoying.
I spent soo much time running every difficulty on ToS all expansion trying to get the Hammer tmog from Maiden. Got it earlier this year.
Avatar is “easier” with rdps. Especially those with pets. Melee not so much due to the floor unless it’s a paladin(bubble). KJ requires cheese or more players.
