I bet they queued for the wrong thing
maybe the system they use trys to balance classes ?
i.e if theres 100 DH dps waiting and 10 warr the warr are always going to get in first so theres not 3 DH dps in the dungeon.
if so it just shows theres mass difference in certain classes in game , other than that just add it to the other bugs in game that will never get done.

I’ve noticed this too. Painful no matter what side you’re on (I play both). Only had one success and that was with five people. Had failures with less and failures with a lot more. Not sure what the magic secret was the one time we succeeded? I noticed the fires actually stayed out in that one when we put them out. The other times they’d re-light immediately.
I think the one in Darnassus is best.
I’ve also had Tank CTA queues going well beyond the average wait time. During CTA, call to arms. It is sometimes quite peculiar.
Ah, I didn’t include that because I almost exclusively run DPS, but I suppose it can likely be any queues

(it’s now 6 min avg over 9 min in-queue, and no Healer CTA has popped…ETA: now 8 over 12…15 over 18…definitely think something is buggy, but I’m just doing some crafting, so staying in the queue is more for science at this point)
Final ETA: popped after about 24 minutes, got algethar academy normal - interestingly, my healer is a ret pally…not that it matters, but…
To expand on this, I don’t think it’s HH specifically. I find that all through DF, if I queue as more than one role, the queues occasionally will take forever. I’ve now completely stopped checking more than one role and haven’t had issues in a while.
I’m in a 15 minutes-elapsed Call to Arms Tank queue, only queued as tank. Not sure why it does this…even without Call to Arms, CTA, that time seems wild
Waited 38min on my Rogue last night before bailing the queue. Tried again on my Rogue this morning after reset and waited 18min before bailing. DH on same server waited around 10min before getting a group? There definitely is an issue this year.
I’ve spent enough time queueing for the HH that I’m certain that the queue doesn’t actually break. It’s just that the influx of tanks and healers is extremely unpredictable and can cause you to sit in queue for virtually forever if there are a lot of ppl ahead of you in the queue.
Apparently there is a questline. None of my characters have done it. I have not queued any dps, just tanks and 1 healer. They have all had 1-2 min queue times.
Holiday content like this is the easiest content to tank too.
yeah I was losing my mind yesterday because of this queue problem. I ran through my healers no problem, first 2 dps had like a 2 minute queue, then my DH sat in a 30 minute queue while the average queue time was just going down from 7, to 5, to 2… I dropped out thinking it was bugged and sat in another 20min queue before it finally popped. Then my next dps was under a minute.
Same 3 characters every day have 30-60+ min queue’s as dps. Rest of my dps are 5-15 minutes. Sometimes I even get a queue on one of the 3 long queue Dps. Someone auto declines “you are brought back to the front of the queue” and then I sit for 30+ more minutes. Something is definitely off.
Revert it back to how easy it was in the past and make it so it doesn’t need a tank and healer, just five dps, or whatever you come as.
If you’re going to devote dev time to a holiday, don’t bother with a dungeon that was fine as is. Devote the time to world content, perhaps something surrounding the wickerman, etc.
