PvPer’s in full PvP gear are getting eaten alive by raiders who rarely pvp. Ad ressileance, PvP Set boucnes or something. Fix it please blizzard. Do we always have to wait for expansions to fix some basic stuff? Then you wonder why subscribers are so low until expansions launch.
Dont add another stat, I forsee vers interacting with it weird. Just do WoD style pvp gear and you dont have to worry about it.

Yea that’s true, there are people out there that like getting double RNG chests to help them with their PvE progression. What do you think about a stretch-goal system for people that can’t get a belt to drop, or absolutely refuse to run Atal’Dazar for the 500th time, giving them the option to PvP for that slot?
Something like,
Stretch goals:
X conquest to buy a warforge trophy.
Y conquest to buy a titanforge trophy.
Z conquest to add a gem socket.
A conquest to add desired corruption effect.
B conquest to remove the WoD ilvl de-scaling, allowing it to be used in PvE.
How is having fun a waste of time?

They need to bring it back to wotlk where the PvErs had their stuff. And PvPers has there own stuff.
Don’t see a problem here. You play pvp - you get pvp currency/gear with pvp stats. You play pve - you get pve gear. Don’t care about pvp - you don’t get pvp gear…No one forces you to play pvp if it’s a “waste of time” for you. I would say the same thing about pve content
The game is fun. It’s why I play it, both pvp and pve. But this isn’t WoD where the big content patch is selfie cam with missing raid tiers. This isn’t MoP with SoO for a year.
It won’t work in legion/bfa/sl, they aren’t getting rid of keys. They aren’t cutting raids, they are adding tiers. They are adding tower challenge and covenants. A separate gear system means any time you spend in pvp, your character is not progressing in pve.
I want to pvp. But I also want to pve. Can’t spend hours pvping with no rewards or character progression. There would be no way to justify it while trying to remain competitive in PvE.
But if you want less people to pvp, like legion, WoD gearing is great. BFA/ SL gearing needs to be better. But I would prefer they not kill it for anyone that wants to do both.
Legion did not have WoD gearing and the PvP was the worst, until BfA.
WoD was great and sorely missed.
Fine by me. PvP stats and desired traits are usually different than PVE anyway. If you really want to progress in both, you need still two separate sets of gear. The kicker in BfA is that the best stuff for PVE and PvP is only obtained doing PVE.
WoD gearing was spot on.
Almost every class has bis azerite or trinkets from pvp. The pvp chest is guaranteed corruption and trophies make upgrading good items lucrative.
For pvp only players and alts. But that is really what you want. You don’t want to have to pve and thats fair, shouldn’t have to, pvp gear should be equal.
But you really don’t want equal, you don’t want players that do both to have a chance to. I’ll find a new game I guess, and join the other 6 million or so players that quit wod.
Resilience would only further make critical strike a weaker stat in PvP, and it’s quite weak for most specs already. Personally, I’d prefer stats to work the same in PvE and PvP for consistency’s sake.
Things I find too strong in PvP are primarily healing (including leech effects and else), then corruptions like Infinite Stars and those mind flaying tentacles.
A single piece of gear? Must be tough to have to PVP for one piece. Imagine it the other way around.
That is me, and I loved WoD for that. BG’s all day, and on many alts.
It is so heavily weighed in PVE’s favour, equal would be a great first step. Right now players are essentially forced to do both when they don’t want to do both. Go queue up for a BG as a fresh 120 and wait for comments like “Go get gear before coming in here”, check out all the forums posts complaining about people with 90K HP in their BG’s. That was not a thing when BG’s gave you blue PVP gear that was worth wearing.
I haven’t seen anything thus far that assures SL is going to be any different than BFA for pvp.
Tough? I enjoy pvp. I enjoy getting nice things from pvp. I enjoyed in in Vanilla/ BC/ Wrath when my marshal pieces were better than bwl gear and when my S4 pants were better than the pants of bloodboil. It was great to be able to get S3/S4 swords to take the place of the CE I never got.
I have multiple pieces that I wear and will wear more as I start being able to add more sockets.
PvE players do pvp. For the extra chest and the essences.

That is what needs to change. There needs to be a middle ground between now and WoD. Because millions don’t want either.
That is WoW. Vanilla, BC, Wrath, Cata, Legion, BFA. Fresh max level characters get dumpstered. WoD was honor buddy botting and welfare gear. People claim to hate that, so we don’t have it.
No, they never said go do PVE before coming in here, which is what people are saying all the time now. All those expansions before legion gave you a steady stream of pvp gear from doing pvp.
I am not about trying to make it bad for PVE players at all, I just hope for a PVP only path like we had for so many years. It worked fine, no one complained about vendors and honor/conquest gear systems before.

That happen because they were trying to push xpacs out once a year. That decision was made before SoO had even come out.
Then abandoned the idea in WoD, and by that point they had abandoned wod too to work on legion.
This misconception is usually not a big deal when the jokes fly around about it, but it was a patch because of a huge amount of updates to the UI and other various internal systems.
So they had to put in a software patch to update the game with it. It was by no means a true content patch, they just didnt want to freak people out with a patch update with zero things instead besides QoL things.
And some people dont care about pve at all. As you love to state this is an mmorpg, meaning as a rpg I should get to play and advance in areas that only I want to advance in.
Let me ask if you care so much about character progression, then do you advocate also the return of the special combat benefits from having professions?
