It doesnt save progress, it wipes your journal every time you log in. Please look into this. Would appreciate a response, even if its just telling me to wait until after midnight releases.
You’d want to edit your post and move the thread to the bug reports form. CS isn’t a means for contact on this kind of thing. You can use the pencil icon to do it.

Hmm I haven’t noticed this. Is it possibly just a UI issue? Try a full UI reset. If you save the folders in question you can put them back after to reverse the changes if it didn’t help.
Otherwise yeah, a bug report with as much details as possible (character name-server, where you were doing archeology, etc) would be the next step.

Did you revert the UI changes by placing the old folders back? If so, then whatever was corrupting your UI is still there. You’d need to narrow down what the cause is, most likely an add-on.
I am now seeing its a common issue that people are dealing with, i dont think this will help. As a land surveyor, id love to dig into this feature! I dont really care too much about achievements for completing em atm, theres just a couple items id love to have from the drop table. I also do not have any add ons, so thats not a factor.
From what ive read other people say it sounds like “wait till midnight”, there is decor tied to arch achievements so im sure it wont stay broken.

I have been doing archaeology to clear one of Dwarven achievement so I can get another decor. I have not seen anything resetting. I think OP has UI issue or bugged local file.
I am also having this same issue. Progress for WotLK seems to reset. Even tried to do Vrykul in one night without resetting UI or logging out and while I got all commons and rares, the Vrykul section of the Last Place You Look achievement never updated.
