Look; they’re blatantly unfinished. They’re obviously supposed to be able to wear armor, and if Worgen and Tauren can do it, there’s no reason they can’t (you can a pass on cloaks, though; I don’t see those being compatible with wings).
I think another body-type is also necessary. A lot of folks want something like Drakkonids, but I could also get behind something more lanky like the Saurians (who are based on the Worgen rig). Or just do a more significant change for their existing model, keeping the same general rig, but with a more masculine frame overall. I’d personally give them a deeper chest, just for a more pronounced “draconic” body.
In order to make armor work, it’s clear the existing “Body” option would need to go. Just pick whatever you believe to be the “default” look (I believe it’s option 2, as memory servers). Convert the existing Barbershop-armor into their “Heritage armor” of sorts.
The class has some really fun specs associated with it, but transmog is such a pivotal aspect of the game, it is absolutely wild to me that they can’t even transmog THEIR OWN CLASS SETS!
Blizzard, as one of only 13 classes, there’s just no sweeping them under the rug. You guys need to invest whatever resources are necessary to finish this race.
Barring that, just give them a “Dragon-form” option (maybe a smaller version of the Dragonriding mounts; those already have a ton of customization), so you can at least justify the lack of transmog by being a real dragon.
