I see tons of trolls practicing shadow arts. Forgive me if I am ignorant, but I know there is a difference between Necromancy and the Art of shadow. They are closely related tho. So why can’t I be a Zandalari Warlock. I was looking very forward to it. Any way we can get blizzard to reconsider the class lock? Haaaalp.
“No, cause reasons.” - Blizzard
kultirans can’t be paladins either and it really feels like the reason is essentially because then alliance would have too many paladin races compared to the horde.
I feel like gating to LOS then using Regeneratin’ would be pretty OP in arena.
Oh boy, people just can’t let this stuff go.
Zandalari warlock seems odd, aren’t Zandalari more of a Loa and whatnot, and not fel magic and burning legion thingy? Don’t mind me, I’m just spitballing here man, I’m a noob. I’ll see myself out.
the only two things i’ve cared about so far for allied races:
-
DID warlock which is now my alliance main
-
maghar priest which i’m seriously considering making my horde main. he’s level 35 rn but in desolace so i’ve lost the will to play the rest of the day.
edit: it posted before i was ready. anyway, i was trying to say i could see why people would be mad if they can’t be the class they wanted.
I get it. But it’s time to let it go. Guess what class I planned on making my Zandalari for months? Yup, Warlock.
Here’s the thing though. Zandalari can literally be every class but locks. I’m absolutely against the idea of allowing a single race to be every single class.
It’s also selfish of me to want Blizzard to replace Locks with another class, especially after they revealed what they can be. You see, unless they give them every available class (which I never want to see), someone else will come in to complain.
This is nothing new, people have always shown disappointment in every race considering they weren’t given access to the class they wanted. It’s simply best to just pick another class. If someone refuses to pick another class, then they are simply more of a fan of the class itself than the race. They luckily have many options.
personally i’m more disappointed kultirans can’t be paladins. i think the kultirans are so much cooler than the trolls. i probably won’t even bother to unlock zandalari tbh.
it’s just not cool that blizzard said they could be warlocks for so long and then at the last minute replace it.
also last minute decided to add mages to kultirans.
Aye, Ay’d have to agree with Stabby. I think it’s a cultural reason. Zandalari trolls pay their respects to the Loa who are “Wild Gods”. Aye, these gods wouldn’t take too kindly to the Zandalari devoting their time to demons instead of them!
Because it was either warlocks or paladins im happy they went paladins.
Zrolls too dumb to lock.
I mean, the Alliance can’t let go of the unrealistic idea of High Elves as an Allied Race.
Here’s how Blizzard should go about fixing this:
Step 1: Remove Monk from the Zandalari’s class selection as they barely make any sense.
Step 2: Add in Warlocks to replace Monks.
Problem solved.
If one is passionate about a certain thing…should they?
I’ve been against that crowd in the beginning. Void elves are superior anyways, this has nothing to do with the Alliance.
Just an extremely vocal minority.
Awesome, now these threads will be replaced by everyone who wants to make a Zandalari Monk. Great fix!
No, because unlike Zandalari Monks, Warlocks actually have a basis in the lore.
The Pandaren and Zandalari have hated eachother since before the Sundering, so it makes no sense that Zandalari have just suddenly been trained as Monks, despite how there’s not a single Zandalari Monk currently on Zandalar.
zandalari can’t be warlocks because then they’d be able to be all of the non hero classes, which then brings a bunch of faction balance issues into the discussion.
Blizz should trade something like monks for warlocks imo (paladins would be ideal, but you hordies fought hard to get them paladins and taking that away now would be cruel)
You don’t need to argue about this with me, I actually agree 100%.
The problem however is that the damage is done and Blizzard officially promised the race/combo. Removing it would only cause the same disappointment we see in this thread. Time to bite the bullet.
