I know I’m a bit biased but I’d love some explanation even outside the game of how Nightborne channel the light. Am I doing it through Elune? The Sunwell? Just from simple study of Light magic?
My understanding is that, while they aren’t as faithful as a society as NEs are, the NB do still worship Elune.
If I have it correctly, NEs worshiped Elune to some degree but not fervently prior to the War of the Ancients. After the War, the NEs abandoned the arcane in favor of Elune and druidism. The Nightborne, on the other hand, remained heavily involved in the arcane and Elune never became central to their society. She’s still there but theirs is built off of magic with her as a secondary aspect.
An interesting perspective I just wish it was flat out stated by blizzard even on Twitter.
Nightborne: “‘Elune’s Wisdom’ Bah! I’ll beseech Elune myself then!”
*becomes priest
Nightborne: "Tyrande lied "
I would RP a nightborne as Priest of Elune
Is this the part where I point out there’s a group of Zandalari that also Worship Elune?
Yes Elune is best loa
Even some among the savage folk may be saved by her grace.
Elune-Adore!
Apparently they hold reverence for the stars and astronomy if you notice all their little cues.
“We see the stars once more”
“Stars save us”
“By the stars”
And all over Suramar city you’ll notice the trees are enchanted to mimic a starry sky from underneath. Not to mention their highly sophisticated astromancy unit.
I’m sure there are some who still hold onto worship of Elune. It well within the realm of possibility.
Yeah but they’re shunned by Zandalari society.
The light can be channeled by anyone who ‘believes’ they are using it correctly
The light is not a result of good intentions but of devotion to a self made cause
Anyone can use the light as long as they believe they are using it for the morally correct reason
