Please expand the Reagent Bank - crafting reagent space issues

I’ll open this by saying I’ve been loving the new professions in Dragonflight. I’ve been able to use my alts to efficiently support my main’s professions and target the specializations that I think would be most effective for my playstyle.

However, just two weeks in, I have already run into major issues with reagent bank space on my main character as I’ve been sending relevant, needed materials to this character. Ahead of the expansion I completely cleared out my reagent bank with the exception of a single stack of Tinker’s Kit I have always had on hand for Glider Tinkers and some restored artifacts I’ve been meaning to turn in. I understand the move to expand stack sizes was a large feature of this expansion and I do expect that will be incredibly impactful as the expansion continues, but right now I have myriad reagents (both types and qualities) that have already spilled out of the reagent bank. I do not know what the expectation is for being able to manage these crafting materials other than waiting a few months where most reagents are only medium or high quality.

As an example: my main does Engineering, Alchemy, Fishing, and Cooking. I have one alt that does Mining and Herbalism to provide reagents to my main.

The fish and cooking reagents are easy. They take up one slot each right now and I have no issues with how that is done.

The other materials though are very frustrating:

Elemental: There are 7 elemental materials each with a Rousing and Awakened version. Right now I have some of these materials and they are taking up 13 slots in my reagent bank. I can break down the Awakened versions into large stacks of Rousing materials to consolidate space in my bank, but if, for example, I need Rousing Fire in one recipe and then move over to a recipe that uses Awakened Fire, I then need to go to my bank to create that reagent. This same issue applies (to a lesser extent) to Illustrious Insight. Solution: Allow recipes that need an Awakened elemental material to instead use 10 Rousing elemental materials from the reagent bank.

Quality: The bulk of the issue lies in the number of qualities of each reagent has. We have 3 qualities of each crafting and finishing reagent, 4 Titan Training Matrices, and we are about to have 2 Primal Foci. Currently I don’t have every ore/metal reagent, but 8 slots of my reagent bag are populated by just 3 ores of different qualities. I do not believe any solution regarding consolidating these different qualities would be possible due to a number of different coding issues that treat these materials as different items so the only solution that I could imagine would apply here would be to drastically increase the size of the reagent bank.

Reclaiming Materials: I have only interacted with this mechanic through Alchemy concoction reclaiming, but I believe this issue hits a number of different professions. Currently the only way to reclaim a potion is to keep that potion in your bags. I tried dropping all potions into the main tab of my bank and reclaiming, but that returns an error: “That item is not a valid target.” It would be very helpful to be able to reclaim potions/phials from the bank since they are unable to be placed in the reagent bank due to their item type. Solution (if reagent bank is expanded): Allow potions and other consumable items that can be reclaimed be stored in and then reclaimed from the reagent bank. Solution (if reagent bank is not expanded): Allow potions and other consumable items be reclaimed from the regular bank.

Big snaps for this post. The new system is way fun, and we are super thankful for that extra stacking, but it doesn’t make much of a dent when there are so many different types/qualities of reagents we need to use now.

I have to agree on this one. With 3 different stacks of quality on each material and 2 stacks for each elemental Rousing and Awakened mats, The Reagent Bank space should at least be tripled in size. Also, not allowing for crafted items, such as potions and phials, to be stored in the Reagent Bank when they each have 3 different quality stacks as well is taking up 1/4 of my regular bag space. I’m spending 1-2 hours every day organizing, relocating, and deciding which mats to vendor. It’s extremely frustrating even while ignoring all the white quality mats that are used to buy Renown items and etc. aren’t able to be stored in Reagent bags/bank either.

Edit: forgot to mention all the Relics and Artifacts to turn in for rep. :skull_and_crossbones:
