Please expand reagent bank storage

There is such a plethora of tradeskill materials, the current amount of bank space for reagents is inadequate. Factor in all the expansions… Wouldn’t it be better to add tabs (maybe it’s not trivial due to design) than for players to create mules?

i like how guild wars 2 does it - they already have a reagant bank with a slot for every single mat in the game, and yours just fills in as you collect them. granted you also have to pay real money to expand those slots for more space, but still… the idea is good. lol

I personally prefer the good old tested method. Have your own guild with all tabs unlocked. That gives access to as many alts as you want, without having to switch around so much, and the tabs are bigger.

Reagent bank should have a tab for each expansion.

Make an alt guild. Then you can save armor per armor type (druid alt is leather, warrior plate, etc) but then you have a guild bank to put all the materials and your alts can place stuff there for free. And mail to your main as needed.

Easier than ever with cross faction mailing

Yes…would def like more tabs for mats in the bank, tabs for xpacs would be awesome…and if the auto sorted to the xpac they came from, that would be KILLER cool

Account based materials storage would be nice. Something similar to GW2 where you have a set amount of every type of crafting material you can hold before needing to upgrade your storage, or use what you have.

The biggest problem I have, is that the regent bank kinda fails in it’s purpose, somewhat.

You’re supposed to be able to use what’s in there for your professions, but only some things work if they’re in your bags only, not the bank.

You can throw meat in the bank, and then cook that meat outside anywhere in the world? Neat, right?

Now take Jewelcrafting - If you’ve got a bunch of ore to grind up into gems, you can’t do that from the bank. Those ores have to be in your inventory to be prospected, despite the fact it shows you can from the professions page.

Meanwhile, I can craft leathers from Leatherworking while the actual skins are in my bank.

It’s not entirely equal, is what I’m saying. I haven’t tested every profession for this, but a bank we could access from the outdoors would alleviate this problem.

I think there is plenty of room if you remove the defunct materials that were only relevant to past expansions/content. I went through everything and many slots were being taken up by things that I would never actually use because they were no longer relevant.

I’ve done this as well as mules. It’s a pain to manage, and would seem to me to add unnecessary complexity. It’s a hack of the game. Nothing “wrong” with it, just think it could be more cleanly implemented so this becomes unnecessary. It must impact the servers to have players with tons of mules and guilds just to store stuff.

Maybe it’s my ocd. Works great for me. My guild is just me and my alts. Between a banker alt and the guild bank, things just seem easier.

This. 1000 times this. All of my this.

People already gave great ideas here:

  1. Reagent tabs for each expansion
  2. Account-wide reagent tabs (realm-wide, actually)
  3. Material especific slots (with no cap).

The game evolved and yes, having alts as mules is “immersive”, but highly annoying.

i would have made my own guild years ago if you didnt need people to sign to do it. i feel like i’m bothering people. so i just use alts to hold it all. it works but an account wide reagent bank would be far better. ESO is good too, pretty sure they just have an infinite reagent bag (as long as you’re subbed anyway)

Reagents this expansion are like Blizzard’s version of corrupt-a-wish.

They give us an extra bag slot for reagents and made them stack to 1000 but tripled the number of different reagents that drop (due to rank) and added a crap ton of one-off reagents (large femur, rainbow pearl, etc.)

I agree. Item ranks are pure evil, too.

And completely useless, with unbalanced prices.

Everyone would be happy with more space, so obviously Blizz will not do it.
