thank you for the compelling reasons provided as to why it is not ready in some fashion

could it be the underwhelming design of totemic? perhaps you aren’t fond of the raid buff? are you yapping about irrelevant prepatch numbers and design?

Enhancement shaman is pretty great right now. It was great at the end of DF.

It’s even better with the new changes coming today.

Yeah, totemic might be a little lackluster atm compared to stormbringer but 
 at least we have one good one!

I’m gonna play totemic regardless because I’ve always just chosen to play whatever I think is fun class / fantasy / lore wise, and let the balance sort itself out over time.

I dont think either were in a such bad spot , prob not S tier for sure and nothing in PvP ( I only PvP ) compared to ELE rn , but still if you enjoy the class and play it right it could be a Solid A tier i believe.

Our survability did really increase , i just only wish really that Ascendance goes to a 2MIN Cd instead of 3 and that our StormStrike Damage does a little better.

Let’s just pray they dont nerf our healing surge AGAIN like all patch then we will go back at C Tier.

Wind Rush Totem
cure snares feels really nice to have this mobility paired with spirit walk give us 2 cure snare + stoneform for dwarf to cure poisons.

Totemic Recall
SOOOO nice with Static Field Totem. Trap Mage/Hunter , reset CD , Retrap Mage/Hunt , Root Totem . , 14 sec trap + root at the end. it makes us able to uses our doomwinds window way more efficacy.

Also really had fun to paired with 2x counterstrike totem , in BG this is actually pretty nuts around the flag 200% reflect to everyone.

Stone Bulwark Totem
Rly good for 2s helps us for opener to not pop astral shift too fast like vs mage rogue. i always prefer to uses totem before defensive , the faster cd reset the more shield you generated also during a match.

Stormbringer has nothing to buff LAVA , so it feel way more efficient with windfury build , doomwind and Thorim.

With Thorim you generate more maelstorm , witch mean you proc more tempest.

I prefer tempest strike rather than ele blast because awekening storm proc are only from lightning spells so you generate less tempest by casting ele blast.

I think the’re is really nice stuff on Totemic but just need some tweaking , defiantly it feels to me that totemic gameplay fit better with lava lash builds , and stormbringer with windfury.

Not sure what OP is talking about. Enhance plays incredibly right now. Elementalist build has a high skill ceiling and both hero talent trees are fun. Aside from a few needed tweaks, it’s pretty solid.

What were the changes?

  • Enhancement

    • Primordial Wave is now a 30 second cooldown (was 45 seconds).

    • Doom Winds is now a 60 second cooldown (was 90 seconds).

    • Casting Flame Shock, Frost Shock, and Sundering will now initiate combat with melee auto attacks.

    • Molten Assault range increased by 4 yards.

    • Molten Assault now plays an impact visual on impacted targets.

    • Crash Lightning range increased by 4 yards.

    • Crash Lightning is now on personal resource display.

    • Earthen Weapon is no longer on personal resource display.

    • Elemental Blast now correctly replaces Lava Burst in spell book.

    • The following talents are now 1 point:

      • Molten Assault

      • Improved Maelstrom Weapon

      • Witch Doctor’s Ancestry

These are the changes that didn’t go through initially in pre patch.

Namely the talent point reductions. We went from having 9 2 point talents to having 6. That frees up 3 points mid tier to use on other things.

Sure buddy.

Would be nice if Stormstrike actually did half nature/half physical damage. There’s literally a damage type called “stormstrike damage,” and Stormstrike doesn’t deal it.
