It winds down to “BIS trinkets” dungeons. Hence why we got prio and floodgate AGAIN…despite new blizz philosophy of no dungeons repeated back to back again. Not only that but ara kara was BAD, the final boss killed 100s of keys everyday and 1000s of key weekly due to horrible mechanics that belong in a raid. Guess were going back to the good ol days of “farm that trinket/weapon again for an updated ilvl version”…sigh. Season 3 is gonna suck. Tazavesh and halls is good however, only good one in there. Everything else is a “really?”.

Yeah, when they did that survey and asked people to vote for their favorite dungeons, it was clear that arakara won simply because of the trinket and not the actual dungeon itself.

Does that really matters though? If players wanted it, they got it. Why would the reason matter?

They should change the gear dropped in each dungeon when they do votes like this. Make it clear you’re voting for the dungeon and not the loot.

The only bad dungeon is Ara-Kara, and they seemed committed to making it and Dawnbreaker better dungeons.

I think it’s fine cause maybe you don’t like it, but if people have voted for them that means there’s a drive to do them.
It’ll mean a season of a whole bunch of strong trinkets (sacbrood + signet? Hype!)

When your reasoning for a dungeon is only about the numbers and numbers can be tweaked, it seems like a weird pick. If trinkets were rebalanced or sacbrood was brought more in line with the others, would people still have picked it? Probably not.
I’d rather have an interesting or entertaining dungeon. There will likely be several other strong trinkets to choose from.

Is it? It also had the 4th highest completion rate of all key levels for S1. Its easy, fast, and had good loot. I don’t see any of those as bad reasons to vote for it.
Honestly I thought Ara-Kara being voted in was more of a sign that people preferred 3-Boss dungeons. All of the voted dungeons except for Floodgate are 3-Boss dungeons.
The only 3-Boss dungeon not voted in was Rookery.
But how many of those key completions were because people simply wanted the incredibly strong trinket at the end? Obviously the dungeon with BiS loot will have a high completion rate.
But if it didn’t have that trinket or that trinket was more in line with others, would it still have had that same amount of completions? I don’t think it would have. Especially considering how many people were running that dungeon for the trinket and bailing after the first boss before S1 even started. The trinket was clearly the draw, not the dungeon itself.

I find it interesting that the combined total of votes between NA and EU is 31958. I’m kind of surprised there weren’t more votes than 32k.
I think the seasonal mythic plus dungeons rotation should be completely random.

Yeah, the forums are used by a very small portion of the player base and even less probably bother to look at the surveys or take them, yet the results impact everyone. Higher participation rates would be nice.

On one hand I don’t really care to do Ara Kara and Priory any more, but on the other hand WOO I"M GETTING A MYTH TRACK TOME OF LIGHT’S DEVOTION AND SACBROOD YEAH
