(maybe not a good example) but close. I can bring down those flying batlike mawsworn with a mighty toss of my daggers. It’s just once their down the fight turnout is unknown.

I may be small and wisp like, but I’m not scrawny.

Ranger NPC in an order hall really doesn’t prove anything other than Blizzard wanted to put some in the hall to fill it up.
I’m not sure about the comment about Undead Hunters. I made the comment about Dark Ranger/ Ranger being alive or dead because the Dark Rangers are the group of undead Rangers that followed then broke with Sly. No where in cannon or lore does it establish that all of the Rangers were killed therefor both Night Elves and Blood Elves should still have some living Rangers.

It proves they are a type of Hunter, otherwise they wouldn’t be in the Hunter class hall, just like a Warlock wouldn’t be in the Priest or Paladin hall


Nor would you see a non-warrior walking around in the Warrior class hall

I personally wouldn’t care for Night Elf Dark Rangers either. I don’t think they fit the Alliance. That and they’ve been a Horde subfaction since Vanilla. The Night Elf ones would just feel very out of place in the Alliance. Especially after the events of BFA where they were fighting on the side of the Horde.

I hope it’s more than cosmetic. Like a prestige class or something.

alliance doesn’t need dark rangers, give undead skin to blood elves, we have something similar, void elves.

void ranger vs dark ranger.

but undead night elves should go back to night elf society, it’s a slap in the face they remain in the horde after what the horde did to them and their people

Not only do we absolutely not need another “edgy elves only!!!” class, but the ship for anything death/undeath-related has sailed with Shadowlands. Sailed, slammed into an iceberg, sank, and dragged everyone on board to a crushing, icy, watery grave.

Granted, I do think Dark Rangers would be more interesting/more unique than the hyper-Milquetoast Necromancer too many people won’t shut up about, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t also a terrible idea.

I’m fine with them if they ever do class skins and let hunters be edgy undead archers, as long as we get a slew of other ones too.

We don’t need a Dark Ranger class.

Plot twist, they give us Necromancers as a class, but in doing so it’s locked to playable Maldraxxians in 9.2.5. Their racial is two forms where one is a Lich.

Only other classes are: Warrior, Mage, DK, and rogue.
