Thanx for ringing that political bell. I think we all kinda have a clue because of the “REEE politics!” meme in her first post, but I’d rather hear it from them. You have already made determinations about my politics because I made reference to it being brought into the game. Other posters have made comments about my behavior and what horrible things I must want to say in the game which is why I don’t won’t sign it. None of you have addressed my points though about social anxiety disorder having issues with these. All of you think I just want a free for all for people to be mean. So many judgements yet I’ve done nothing to incur them except for ask blizzard to rethink this.

They want to be Racist and Phobic at will when they get upset, so they think they should be allowed. The social contract would get them banned so they are super salty.

Sounds like a scapegoat but ill bite. Clearly you do not have this anxiety considering your ability to reply quickly, you likely don’t suffer from this.
I play with people who do and they’ve also been here since 204/2009. They’ve gotten along fine and will probably continue to do just that.
The freedom of speech is not a freedom to speak on all platforms, it is the freedom to say what you want on a platform that allows it.
You can say anything you want in the freedom of your home, you can’t say anything you want on a public game where children, people of multiple races, people of multiple creeds, people of all kinds come to get away from the harshness and reality of the world where slander and name calling runs wild.

Honestly the social contract isn’t even a real social contract. Blizzard is using that word wrong. So it’d be hilarious if that’s the case.

I told you I play with my family and have been playing this game with my husband since 2004. We have a child. She is special needs. I fight for her.

I keep the sensor filter up and I always have. I guard what I can as a parent when we play together, that is my role and my job. Autistic children fixate. She has been playing this game for some time, change is difficult. Having to quit classic when we’ve just transitioned her over from retail and now that is going away will be difficult.

My only real issue with the social contract is that it seems a bit rapey and forceful about “you WILL TALK TO AND BECOME FRIENDS WITH OTHER PLAYERS!!!” like some of us have terrible social anxiety disorder and are barely able to handle an mmorpg as it is, we can still play just fine and are trying to get better but it’s wrong to try to force people to “be social or else you’ll lose your account.”
Hey if you don’t want people to speculate about the honesty of your backstory, maybe you should tell us exactly what you want changed so we have something else to talk about.
