Please don't change Swiftmend

I realize that you have no clue how balancing works and how it affects more than just the bottom tier player but do try to get a grasp on it.

If you can’t post I’m the alpha forums, try logging out and back into the forums. Worked for me.

This is meaningless. Those who have played any type of content over the years is allowed to give feedback. Your attitude is unwarranted.

Not once has Blizz changed classes for what “type” you want to label casuals. They changed things based off of the 1% who do the content no one else does. Makes sense, right?

You have nothing to add here except to trash people and act like you’re better than others.

All opinions matter.

Play nice, my lovelies. I’m off to work.

Even as DPS, my boomkin uses it as an emergency heal when things get hairy. Pop that and my two HoTs and I can usually get right back into the action.

For a Bear Tank, who obviously takes far more damage than a Boomkin, healing spells with a Cast Time, unless they’re insanely short, are not a good choice.

It means less threat they’re generating, and since they’re in caster form, increased damage they’re taking. You don’t even really need to understand how to bear tank to understand that.

raiding boomkins should use guardian affinity. just waiting for him to troll you about that. :expressionless:

They’re allowed to give feedback but the quality of that feedback is based on what they HAVE done in the game. Secondly, Blizzard has constantly catered to casuals over the years. Pruning, the removal of Reforging, the introduction of Titanforging, the fact that World Quests completely negate most of Normal. I could continue to list instances of them changing the game for casuals, if you’d like.

Balancing actual content is more important than World Content that has literally never mattered but nice try. It was reworked for ALL instanced content.

Do you have any clue whatsoever how hard things hit in raids/dungeons? A tank, especially? To lose ALL of your mitigation and MOST of your armor for a tiny heal is incredibly reckless and will likely result in a wipe. YOU, as a Boomkin, aren’t constantly getting hit by adds and bosses which requires you to have active mitigation and defensives rolling. The fact that you are even TRYING to compare the two roles is absolutely hilarious and shows you have exactly zero knowledge on what you’re attempting to talk about.

did you play a shadow priest in legion? could do 1m dps in mythic raids but couldn’t do WQ. i’m sure to you that seems “balanced.” what a joke.

L. O. L. If you couldn’t do WQs as any spec, especially a DPS spec, in Legion, that just shows the quality of player you are. Anyone who was hitting 1m DPS in Mythic raids, I promise you, was having absolutely no difficulty doing WQs.

Looked it up to see the exact changes (from Wowhead). It’s basically reverting to how it was several expansions ago.

Currently its a no requirement, Instant ability on a CD.

With the change, it turns into a “only useful if you already have Rejuvenation, Wild Growth or Regrowth active”. Many people loved the removal of the fact it gobbled up existing heals.

Sure, it may be beneficial to Resto Druids as an emergency heal. But the thing is, it also makes Resto Affinity weaker. Because now it’ll consume TWO GCDs instead of one.

And you have to remember that people besides Resto will be using it. If you only think about Resto, you’re not doing Boomkins, Bears or Cats any favors.

except i know priests either switched to disc to do WQ or unsubbed. i know people who did both. you obviously didn’t play a priest, and don’t now. i didn’t switch my priest back to shadow until he his 430 because shadow is literally trash in the world. which is one of the main reasons people hate voidform.

I suffered through my Shadow Priest in the world. But yeah, the only toon of mine that feels squishier than my sPriest is my Frost Mage.

you have the illusion you can heal yourself too but the healing sux. shadow is only fun in raids at this point.

If was a low cost, low skill cap ability that requires absolutely zero brainpower to use in its current iteration that had NO downsides. The fact that it is going back to its ORIGINAL form is a good thing, for the game and for RDruids specifically. It was almost never used by bears in any instanced content, except PvP, because it removed ALL of your ability to actually tank things. If DPS want to heal themselves, they can either use 2 GCDs or they can wait for their healer to do their job.

No, you just have absolutely no clue what you’re talking about. Putting out a false narrative that SPriests can’t do anything outside of raids is blatantly false and is proven by how many succeed in every other form of instanced content.

you do realize that this is WORLD of warcraft not world of raidcraft, right?

You do realize that games are balanced around their difficult content, and their top players, right? Shadow Priests perform perfectly well in PvP, M+, raids, out in the world. The only time they don’t perform fine are quick fights that end before they can ramp up or with mass pulls where they’re tanking.

Ugh. I have to come back here to find your condescension still continuing.

Notice I said “changing classes.” Not the entire freaking game. An no, they didn’t prune stuff for casuals. :woman_facepalming:t4:

The Swiftmend change isn’t even a good change for any spec. To think that consuming HoTs was ever a good gameplay mechanic is just showing you’ve never once played a Druid. It’s a mediocre heal at a cost now. But I assume that’s the idea: to nerf it.

Geebus. Talks like he’s the best thing since sliced bread, but has no idea what he’s talking about.

My main is a resto and i’m not excited about that change either. I’d rather not have any of the “new” spells backs and instead just keep what perhaps my main and most important emergency heal as it is now.

but obv your opinion is wrong even though you’ve mained a druid probably longer than he’s played. XD
