I’m shocked that we have yet again another season without any MoP dungeons. We have only had one the one so far and that was in DF Season 1.
Seriously Stormstout Brewery was right there to pair with Cinderbrew Meadery. Or have one of the Scarlet Monastery dungeons to pair with Priory.
If we count Mega dungeons as two (as they get split into 2 ‘wings’) then so far we have had the following number of returning dungeons relative to their expansions
Cata: Three. Those being Vortex Pinnacle (DF S2), Throne of the Tides (DF S3) and Grim Batol (TWW S1)
MoP: One. That being Temple of the Jade Serpent (DF S1)
WoD: Four. Grimrail Depot (SL S4), Iron Docks (SL S4), Shadowmoon Buriel Grounds (DF S1) and Everbloom (DF S3)
Legion: Seven. Return to Karazhan Lower (SL S4), Return to Karazhan Upper (SL S4), Halls of Valor (DF S1), Court of Stars (DF S1), Neltharion’s Lair (DF S2), Blackrook Hold (DF S3), Darkheart Thicket (DF S3)
BFA: Nine (one appearing twice). Operation Mechagon: Junkyard (SL S4), Operation Mechagon: Workshop (SL S4 & TWW S2), Freehold (DF S2), Underrot (DF S2), Atal’Dazar (DF S3), Waycrest Manor (DF S3), Siege of Boralus (TWW S1), Motherlode (TWW S2)
Shadowlands: Three. Mists of Tirna Scithe (TWW S1), Necrotic Wake (TWW S1), Theater of Pain (TWW S2)
Excluding Dragonflight as Blizzard does not pull dungeons from the previous expansion. With the exception of Operation Mechagon during SL S4 due to the gimmick of “mega dungeon season”. And obviously vanilla, TBC and Wrath are at 0. It is doubtful that Blizzard will pull from them but they said the same thing about Cata so /shrug.
BFA leading with NINE if we count the upcoming seasonal roster. And two of those are the same ‘dungeon’.
Also what is with Blizzard making that two of the returning dungeons are from the same expansion?
SL S4 had two legion, two BFA and two WoD dungeons.
DF S1 had two legion dungeons.
DF S2 had two BFA dungeons
DF S3 had two Legion AND two BFA dungeons
TWW S1 has two SL dungeons
TWW S2 will have two BFA dungeons.
Seriously. GIVE BFA A REST.
