Area 52s trade chat is more carry spam from the same “community” than it is anything else. I’m using badboy but they change it up so often the addon might as well be broken.
I actually miss the political talk and would love to have that back. You gotta do something Blizz this is getting out of hand.
remove wow token and the problem solves itself.
Carries were around before the token and they’ve existed in an environment without tokens (Classic). Getting rid of the token wont change the carry spam.
When you say you’re using BadBoy are you also using the CCleaner module?

I agree the carry spam is so annoying. I wish they had a separate channel for it that was opt-in only. Or that they just banned carrying for gold too, both options would be good in my book 
Do you use trade chat to find groups? If not then adding aotc, M+, and KSM may help boost as well

The spam is on every single server ,any server that holds decent online players is being overrun by trade chat spams and i dont think it will ever stop .
They could make a separate channel for it outside of trade and limit to the service/carry spam there.
That wont work people will still spam in trade all of the sell accounts are fresh anyways so even after gettoing banned you can make another . Blizz wont survillence them 24 hours a day 
They did do something, they built a UI that you can mod with addons to tailor to your specific needs.
the spam will never be fixed as long as blizz tokens are in the game, the reason there’s so much carry spam is because kids with allowance money is desperate to keep the game paid for, so they try to gain as much gold as fast as possible to buy up blizz coins to pay for gametime, and as long as gold sellers are selling gold blizz will never remove blizz coins at this point
The most of the carry spam is usually for RMT i dont think tokens will make a huge impact as you can buy gold from a lot of sites .

I use EasyFilter it’s powerful but it’s complicated, I usually suggest BadBoy+BadBoy_CCleaner but the problem is sellers changing what they say like you said and I think GlobalIgnoreList will be the best for that 
I’ve yet to see a WTS get through that shouldn’t get through and you can see over on the right it’s blocked 67 ads lol.
Once it is installed type /gil gui then click the spam filters tab then click Create Filter and paste this into where it says Filter:
([contains=wts] and [contains=m+] or [contains=ksm] or [contains=aotc] or [contains=mythic+]) or ([contains=huokan] or [contains=gold\ only])
and click save filter
You can turn on some of the other spam filters by double clicking them in the spam filter tab and checking the box next to Active. This is what mine looks like while testing

Token sales are their biggest profitmaker now. That’s what’s keeping the game profitable as subscribers fall. They have no incentive to reduce carry spam. Even RMT spam normalizes the idea that paid carries are an intended gearing mechanic while providing an overflow so whales can continue to spend after they have maxed out their tokens for the week.
