In a way, Classic(and by extension BC and Wrath) would already be nerfed because all the info about them has been released. People in my Classic server are already crafting Sulfuras, to illustrate what I mean. While the urgency for community remains, the mystery is more or less gone.

Releasing Classic with an endgame class balance patch makes a lot of the content a joke compared to how difficult things actually were on Classic’s release. People cite Rag taking some hundred days to be downed, the reality of that is that he was stronger on release, and classes were weaker, it’s not just people already knowing the fight.

Lol, that patch is what players wanted anyways. It’s what they all been playing in private servers. They’re all in that later patch and doing exactly what blizzard is doing. Still, even without 1.12, the content was still going to be a joke for anyone with experience.
Maybe rag would have taken an extra day…

Whilst it would be hilarious if they did that, I suspect they’ll probs stop at WotLK, aka the true final end of WoW.

It won’t be nerfed mechanically, it will probably be a bit more difficult if they follow thru with keeping the classic feel into expansions. It probably means a huge revamp of how flying mounts will work because there is no way in hell they will give you the same version we had. Arenas will probably be changed as well, it was way too easy to gear up with them. I remember doing them to get weapons on par with raids back then.

BC was more heavily nerfed during it’s timeline.
If and when they do bring BC realms, I’d like to see ORIGINAL heroics (heroics were heavily nerfed in BC) ORIGINAL gear (gear was heavily buffed in BC) ALL attunements required etc.

BC would be fine because gear and abilities were actually more nerfed , then buffed, at later patches. As long as they stagger content patches we’ll be fine … Which I think they would.
The real question would be… Would they release the raids as the nerfed versions or original ?
Me thinks they’d release the nerfed raids… And that would be a tragedy. Pre nerf SSC , TK, BT, and Mag were brutal … But in a good way.

Private server dungeons were much more difficult that classic. I have no idea which one is truer to Vanilla as I never played Vanilla but Classic dungeons are a joke. The good thing about Classic is that any spec is viable now, I am playing a Pally Tank which was near impossible to play on Private servers.
Why would they make a BC server? People assume way too much about things. They did Classic because between then and now a lot has changed. Most Vanilla dungeons were overhauled. ZG was gutted. Zones were changed. Quests changed. So making just a Vanilla server made sense. I seriously wouldn’t hold my breath on a BC server then a Wrath server etc.
Classic is already easy. Look how easy people are going through dungeons alone. We all know how to play now and have been there done that for the most part. From my experience have had 0 wipes. Haven’t had to really cc. Bosses dying fast. etc. Definitely not how Vanilla was.

A pally tank at max level in raids? Doubtful.
Viability doesn’t matter until endgame content.

There was an interview with the President of Blizzard and he implied that they could happen if there was interest in them.
Also, that’s what I was trying to say. The reason we’re seeing this in Classic is because Vanilla was like 14 years ago and by now people already know all of its secrets on the best builds, items, farming methods, etc.
