World buffs should be eliminated completely. They’re absolute cheese, and a ridiculous meta.

you can choose to use them or not, you are not held at gun point to go get world buffs.
however you are dictating to people who enjoy world buffs that the part of the game they enjoy should be removed (FOR A 2ND SEASON)
is there really a legit reason to remove world buffs when people can choose to get them or not, how is it ruining the game for you?
i think a good compromise would be to disable world buffs in the latest phase of content and enabling them for previous phases content, a model private servers have been doing before classic even came out…

Self gimping is not an option for any meta player. It’s like dealing with a class that one shots everything by saying “you have the option to cast as frequently as you do or not. Just don’t cast as frequently”. An awful take. The solution is to fix the class. And the solution here is to eliminate world buffs.

World buffs are toxic, out of logics, unreasonable featire for wow theme. There is no reason to keep this toxic feature in future. Beyond classic era, none cares or misses world buffs, remove them !!!

I’m not opposed to world buffs if they gave a very slight advantage
You want to put in all the effort to give urself a slight advantage then i dont see an issue
If you dont get them you can still compete and try and beat people with them
Unfortunately, the current difference between world buffed and not is a completely different game
there would be no point in spending the time to get them all then…

I have a vague recollection that they implied they were going to turn world buffs into consumables that you can use at will. I still think world buffs should be done away with completely but at least that’s a better way to go about them.
