Please do not have NPC's stalking me to give me a quest

This shove in my face style of trying to give me quests is annoying and they always bug out and continue to follow you.

Legion had these. The npc to get you to start the class halls and that ghost elf wanting you to save his wine.
Herald Flaps. Even when you take his quests he haunts you constantly and its immersion breaking to have him bringing you the baby care quests as soon as you make it to the isles.

Just stop. They glitch out and end up being annoying with how close they get to you and path around you, trying to look things but instead open up a dialogue window.

Something on GD I can finally agree with!

Follow once, but when we drop the quest, just have that NPC standing somewhere permanent.

Honestly I think everyone can agree on this.
Might just be the one thing

Kind of sad that despite the negative feedback like the talking heads, this is something that Blizzard wants to keep.

Well they can fix them by not having them hover so close to you, follow behind you so they aren’t in your way. This was even an issue with temp companions when you’re going to loot and they path right in your way and open dialogue which was not your intention so now you have to close it, this happening several times.

Also make it so these quest givers go away. Both times i mentioned i hand in the quests and continue on they suddenly appear again, Nothing to over by being in the way.

Huh.

Can’t say that I’ve ever seen this.

WoW dont care fork over the $5 fo TP Points , we are the bestest MMO around Dont ya know!!!

I assumed it was for quests that are important for the lore or quest progression, stuff we cant just skip.

If we skip those quests the stalker bird has, we might not get to see the cutscene of Sylvanas escaping the maw and taking over Darkshore or something.

Well the herald flaps one is a side egg daycare. The legion one is part of the main story. Issue is i will have times where they show up again but have nothing to give me and just haunt me in that area.

Rebuttal. I want to be pelted with bananas relentlessly every time I don’t obey blizzard right away

I agree, I do not like that, it feels like an ad.

That, and the stupid auto-accept quests any time I try to go do Freehold or Underrot.

I don’t want them. I don’t want any automatically accepted quests, unless a group member is doing it and it auto shares to me.

I love them, otherwise I’d likely miss those quests.

You couldn’t get a weapon in Legion without them.

I’ve never seen them bug out.

I thinks it’s kinda fun! I got no friends, no one to play with, … this little guy likes me and wants to give me stuff! I think it’s fun. JMO.

I personally don’t mind them and i like that they give me quests… instead of me looking for them.

I understand the issue that some are having with this.
Best solution is to make a dialogue with the npc where the player can send them on stand-by somewhere. So basically, just talk to them once and they stop following you.

P.S. I thought I did not get the last NIFFEN reward… well guess how it was delivered! I was very happy about that.

I rather they don’t do it at all and instead, just slap “!” on the map and trust me that i will get to it eventually or just google up where it is if i don’t know where it is.

I think one of the reasons we have quests that auto accept and stalk is when people complain about doing content and then realizing there was a quest for said content, they then complain that they don’t get retroactive quest completion.

Example: the complete 10 world quest weekly.

Someone starts doing WQ before picking up the quest and then slam blizzard like it’s not their own fault.

So then blizzard implements auto accepts, ect. And then people complain about that.

The struggle.

Is asking a player to pickup a quest BEFORE doing the quest content too much to ask?

Apparently so, now blizzard has to have npcs follow you around and auto accept quests.

Fr. I hate it when they follow me around, if I am not actively lookibg for the quest then I don’t care.
