You lost me at the ignore part

They ship keys and do like 1-2 tuning passes on massively over or undertuned stuff then let people figure it out with fewer or zero spec adjustments with keys in mind, and obviously delves are ignored entirely

The only thing that is cared about or tuned around is raids and pvp

I will be entirely honest, I have heard that folks have been saying it has been dwindling since TBC arenas were introduced, or strand of the Ancients, or back before the Mists of Pandaria BG was reworked, or when Seething Shore was introduced.

My point is this: WoW isn’t a PvP game, it is a PvE game - and what PvP exists will always have to focus on the casual crowd more so than the ā€œdedicated PvPā€-base. Because WoW isn’t a game like League of Legends, CS:GO, or even another PvP-oriented MMO. There just isn’t an audience and design space that really ā€œallowsā€ for this to work - this is why I mentioned the issue between casual and dedicated PvP players, because the venn diagram of what makes a good PvP game isn’t the same as what makes a fun or casual PvP game.

This is why I question whether there even is a ā€œdedicated PvPā€-base at all in the game, because I have participated in rated BGs before, and been part of a Discord group and all of the things. We played weekly and wanted to push and have fun.

They also complained about WoW’s PvP quite a lot and immediately went to other games that are still competitive and offer good community/guild support, but… are also designed with that in mind.

So… I don’t think this base of players who want ā€œgoodā€ PvP actually exists at a relevant size in WoW. Of course I can be wrong but from everything I have read, heard, and experienced … I’d need some actual evidence to prove otherwise.

Don’t forget when people claim there’s no cheaters or that there’s an insignificant amount of them, but when there’s a banwave on pvp rotation bots the CS subforum gets filled with ban complaints from sockpuppets.

5 digit user count for some cheats out there, but sure, there’s no problem or it can be downplayed. :dracthyr_comfy_sip:

War within got a new battleground, so if midnight doesn’t get a new battleground, it really isn’t that big of a deal.

We don’t usually get a new battleground every single expansion.

Can’t speak for raids but the BG queue time has been miserable in most of my cases in TWW. If there is any care for it, it’s lacking a lot.

I mean I literally told you.

Disagree.

Be thankful you have people to push 3s with.

TBH I am pushing 1800 on multiple classes in greens.

Honor gear is a much better than previous expansions

Rated PVP and the community behind it should be allowed to die.

The same applies to pve content and they do that just fine.

Its possible.

Over 1800 on hunter in mostly green honor gear and rogue is at 1700 in mostly greens

I MIGHT give it a try. Maybe. Possibly.

But I aint holding my breath that this time will be different. Every time I have tried PvP in WoW its always been the same.

But, ill try it. Maybe.

I highly recommend checking out murlocio and watching some videos. Its one of those things that just takes practice over and over again just like PvE. The more you put into it the more you get out

Just do a bunch of WQs with Warmode on, 100 bloody tokens per.

Pick up the crates when you can, or at least help fight over them.

Pretty much all of my PvP alts start with full 681 ilvl gear and a 684 piece, or two.

Also, those crates you can buy for alts from 1400 rating and up, on characters already up there in rating.

They contain random pieces of gear, but it’s still helpful for a head start.

Assuming you have geared characters and no longer need the conquest on them, funnel it to alts.

Also, getting 2500 conquest for the season gets you a free 684 weapon of your choice.

PvP gearing is easier now than it’s been in a while

681 ilvl is more or less ready for Blitz- I regularly see people below that in there, and they get run over. Although the higher your ilvl, the better it’ll be.

Thats the problem.

We get 8 dungeons and 3 raids. Make a BG map.

Now that’s comedy

You don’t PvP. You’re doing this again where you’re commenting on content you don’t even play but pretending you know about it. You don’t.

That’s my whole point though, if they just put a little bit of effort into pvp then it would thrive. I understand they care more about the pve side because the player base there is the majority but that’s also part of my point. There is a player base of pvpers who love this game and I know this because I’m apart of it and interact with them daily and we all say the same things.
I can’t imagine it takes much effort to give us little things like a new BG map every once in a while or new rewards. They could even reskin existing maps, everyone loves flag maps for example. They finally added another BG map this xpac which was nice but after what, 7 years, back in 2018 with seething shore? Another example, we get a slightly ecolored version of the same felbat glad mount next season when pve gets cool unique ones. The bat isn’t even thematic to the xpac. It just appears as lazy and a slap in the face.

But idk, maybe this wasn’t the place to make a post like this because anytime I do people just troll. I just want the developers to give pvp a crumb of some kind. They care enough to make pvp tuning along with pve tuning every so often but nothing more. Wow PvP has the potential to be one of the best games out there if they just nurtured it a little. I’d just like them to give PvP more than literally 15 seconds of talking time in an interview.
