You can get banned for fishing in AV, so why is it even there? That’s like putting up a free liquor dispenser at a toll booth then waiting up the road to write DUI tickets.
It entices players to stop participating in the battleground, detracting from everyone else’s experience.
It encourages botting - in late night AV you can generally see a couple of people using fishing bots to get honor at the same time.
The fact this has been in the game for all this time while still being a punishable offense is silly. Since we are embracing some changes, can we please disable the Fishing skill in Alterac Valley? Thank you for your time.
I will absolutely fish if/when I go there. The schools there have a much higher drop rate of desirable fishing items/trunks/etc. You can make serious bank fishing in AV.
Banned? Or booted from the BG?
How do you know they’re bots? How do you know they’re not just players…fishing…in a fishing school?
Why not just disable having people labeled AFK for fishing/doing quests in AV?
