Please disable Racials in all instanced PvP

What did i miss something.

Racials are fine.

Rich coming from a monk. The games movement speed broke when Monk was introduced ruining PvP. They were miles ahead of other melee. So Blizz was forced to buff all other melee mobility. By doing that uptime increased and Casters now neeeded to be Tanky. The slippery slope began back then and went downhill again when DH entered chat.

All Drathyr does is give everyone access to being like a DH. Sounds like that is fair. Drathyr Prot War might be nice.

For Shadowmeld not to feel as significant as it does now, the game needs slower, more staggered burst outputs. Now you have a thousand things happening all at once, and the Meld just nullifies all of them if timed properly, plus a little pinch of luck xD

This is irrelevant for 99% of players. Your racial isn’t gatekeeping you. Mmr is not gatekeeping you. Partners aren’t gatekeeping you. The meta isn’t gatekeeping you. Randomly fighting good players isn’t gatekeeping you.

Just play the game and stop finding ways to mask your own inability to climb.

Yall woulda exploded playing any pre BFA expansion.

The only EDITS that should be made to racials are:

  • Meld shouldn’t activate subterfuge, drinking / eating should always break stealth and the cd to enter it should go up. This way druids get drinks less.

Nah son, ur getting warstomped and that’s all there is to it.

I’m able to climb just fine thanks, stop assuming people can’t play just because they hold different opinions than you.

I think its totally possible to achieve duelist and even glad with suboptimal race picks, but this does not change the fact that meld is completely busted. I run night elf on all of my characters that can because of the sheer insane value I get out of it every game.

I’d love to play Kul Tiran and haymaker the daylights out of someone or even Highmountain and rock those antlers, but there’s no way I’m going to play without meld and actually handicap myself.

I just think everyone should be on the same playing field regardless of which race they pick.

Okay, as soon as players stop acting like they’re critically locked to a race to achieve any level of success, or like they’re genuinely hindered by choosing a diff race.

What do you define as handicap? You should be able to achieve similar results regardless of your chosen race, save for rogue/druid/maybe one more I can think of because not @ desk.

By disabling all of them? Sounds boring. Should just give everyone the same defensive and offensives too. That way everyone is equal.

Well, it’s quite a delicate balance (it seems) between having burst stagger in a way that allows any reaction time at all, vs everybody being cleave oneshot as in some DF shenanigans… :confused:

I think disabling them in pvp is the move. They’re never going to balance them unless they completely overhaul them and turn them all into very boring stat buffs. At that point, why even have them.

Also, anyone saying the difference for best racials is negligible doesn’t understand player behavior. People min max nowadays and do whatever it takes to be optimal. The differences may be negligible but it still disrupts the community just the same.

Absolutely not. Racials are 100% fine. And some classes depend on them.

You would give a huge nerf to shaman without dwarf/dark iron / orc

It’s 100% needed to survive assas rogue / feral teams.

I’m still waiting to be able to que random bgs with friends that are horde/ally on the same team

Yeah, it’s super fun, but it’s miles behind meld in terms of utility and also suffers from diminish returns

I love the highmountain charge, too, but that’s a bad racial compared to having shorter stuns, exiting combat and avoiding burst entirely, and now, gliding across the map with stupid dragons on top of two aoe knockups that are separate from most dr chains.

I prefer all weak racials to be buffed.
Example, Lightforged draenei 3% increased holy damage.
Ma’ghar 3% increased physical damage.

I think racials that can be used incorrectly should be more powerful then passives. Smeld, as people have said just shouldn’t lose combat and shouldn’t give stealth bonuses to rogues.

Honestly, I think they just need to do a full rebalance/redesign on racials as a whole across the entire game. PVE players are already freaking out about dragons glide being a passive 40% move increase/knockback immunity and how everyones going to have to swap. Just let us be whatever we think looks cool because right now certain racials are just handicapping yourself if you don’t play them which makes you potentially hate the way your character looks (me with my dwarf pallys).

I’m sure they’ll hotfix dragon racials so we can continue to be 100% nelf/dwarf for keys.

Sike it’s because it’ll affect raid encounter design and balance.
